"God is good!" exclaimed Botswana's President, Mokgweetsi Masisi, as the 2,492-carat diamond was unveiled.

The largest diamond found in over a century has been unearthed at a mine in Botswana. The country's president proudly showcased the fist-sized stone to the world during a viewing ceremony.
According to the Botswana government, this massive 2,492-carat diamond is the second-largest ever discovered, and the biggest since the 3,106-carat Cullinan diamond was found in 1905.

Botswana, a southern African nation with a population of 2.6 million, is the world's second-largest producer of natural diamonds, trailing only Russia.
