Volodymyr Zelenskyy makes first trip to border area since incursion into Russia

In Moscow, Russian President Vladimir Putin spoke about the situation with governors of regions bordering Ukraine and accused Ukraine of attempting to strike the Kursk nuclear power plant.

00:13Speaking to the country's top military commander Oleksandr Siersky, Zelensky said new prisoners

00:18of war would help build an exchange fund to swap for captured Ukrainians.

00:24He also said Ukrainian forces had captured another village in Kursk, but didn't name

00:30Zelensky said last week that Ukraine has no plans to occupy the area long-term, but wants

00:35to create a buffer zone to prevent further attacks from that area into Ukraine.

00:40Meanwhile, a Ukrainian drone strike targeted the Marinovka airbase in Volgograd.

00:47The region's governor confirmed that a Defense Ministry facility had been attacked with drones

00:52and said there had been no casualties.

00:55Outside Moscow on Thursday, Russian President Vladimir Putin spoke about the situation with

01:00governors of regions bordering Ukraine.

01:03Putin claimed that Ukraine had attempted to strike the Kursk nuclear power plant.

01:08And in Washington, U.S. officials said the Biden administration will send about $125

01:28million in new military aid to Ukraine.

01:31The latest package will reportedly include air defense missiles, high-mars munitions

01:36and counter-electronic warfare systems.
