Two men in Ukraine's western region of Uzhhorod spoke to Euronews about why they are fleeing conscription from the country's army — and how they are doing it.

Every day the number of graves in the park next to the Calvary Cemetery in Ushorod, Western Ukraine, grows.

This place has become the memorial site for recent fallen fighters of Transcarpathia.

Roughly 70,000 Ukrainian soldiers have died since Russia's 2022 invasion of Ukraine, according to US estimates.

43-year-old Igor was buried here 10 days ago in the Ushorod Cemetery.
