Hello everyone, this is GT Media V8 Turbo, it's a WiFi digital satellite receiver. I've
00:19
had numerous digital receivers in the past, digital satellite receivers by GT Media and
00:27
they were very good, from the older versions, V7S, V8, V8X, V9 Prime, I've had quite a few
00:39
and this is another one that I got to try out as well. Now, it's pretty much the same
00:44
when it comes to the accessories, you get HDMI cable, you also get this antenna as well,
00:50
you also get a 3 pin plug, the same input as well, you can see here, it also comes with
00:55
the remote here, pretty much the same as the new shape models for the older models
01:00
as well, that's the remote, at the back here it requires 2 AAA batteries to operate the
01:06
remote, the box itself is a lot bigger than the other models and you can see the front
01:15
here has a display here showing you the display, you've got a USB port here, you've got the
01:21
navigation buttons, you've got menu, exit, power button here, on the left there's nothing
01:26
there, it does have ventilations, it's got ventilation on this side so it doesn't overheat,
01:30
at the back here, the reason why I got this is that a lot of the GT Media ones only has
01:35
the LNB, this one also has the ANT so you've got both, so you can get more channels, free
01:41
view channels with the both connections, so I'm going to try this out, it also has the
01:46
HDMI port, you've got a SCART lid here, Ethernet port and you've got the RS-232 port here,
01:55
you've got the mains port there, you've got the WiFi antenna that you put in here and
01:59
you've got the power on and off button here, ok, underneath here you can see there's more
02:03
ventilation so it doesn't overheat, you've got rubber grips as well so it doesn't move
02:07
side to side and it's made out of full metal so you've got a good quality, now this does
02:13
have a built in 770MHZ dual core HEVC 10-bit, it also has a 64MB SPI flash, 1GB RAM, this
02:27
supports DVBS, DVBT, DVBC and the resolution of the channels that it can show on this box
02:39
is full HD 1080p, ok so stay tuned, let me get this set up and I can show you a demo
02:46
how it looks on the TV screen. Ok so this is the home page of the V8 Turbo, on the settings
02:54
you can see you've got the DVBS, DVBT, DVBC, ATSC, these are the satellites that you can
03:03
search to search for the free channels, you've got the online user guide here, you've got
03:08
the search settings, you've got the LMB that you can switch on and off, and then on the
03:12
right here you've got the TV channel list, you've got the radio channel list, you've
03:16
got delete all channels that you've searched for, you've got favourites that I would highly
03:21
recommend putting favourites in because otherwise it will take you ages to find the channels
03:26
that you scanned, so put the ones that you watch, put on favourites and make a category,
03:33
then you've also got the IPTV here as well, then if I go right you've got the USB storage
03:37
device, USB settings here, sometimes the box might need an update, so what you need
03:44
to do is you might need to go online, it might be quite complicated, but sometimes you might
03:48
need to get an updated software, put the USB onto that device and then update it and just
03:53
follow the steps online, they will tell you how to do that, but that's when it needs it.
04:00
Then here you've got the network configuration, you've got the DLNA, you've got the SAT2IP,
04:05
you've got online movie, STB and the network proxy, and then you've got here the languages,
04:11
so the languages here, let's see how many languages there is, so there is quite a few
04:17
languages to choose from to be honest, so there is a lot of languages to choose from,
04:21
with the languages, first audio, second audio, subtitle language, you've got the teletext,
04:26
you can, there's a lot of settings to go through, and then you've got the timer settings, local
04:32
time settings, AV settings, parental lock, OSD settings and other settings, so other
04:37
settings, you have the panel LED bright, the power off mode, the power on mode, there's
04:44
a lot of things to navigate through and change it to your needs, then you've got the information,
04:49
you've got the factory settings, you've got the conditional access, you've got, look it
04:53
says here, the USB upgrade, so that's what I was explaining about, USB dump, that's where
04:57
you upgrade it, and you also have the record function as well, but you have to connect
05:01
to USB first, so that's how it is, what you need to do is obviously now, to get the channels,
05:09
you have to first go through the search, through the satellite, and it will find the channels
05:13
and put them to favourites, so this is how it looks, and for those who want a satellite
05:20
receiver where it has 3 channels, this is a good box to go for, so thank you for watching
05:25
my video, please do give a like and subscribe.
