00:00Welcome back to the Rings of Power.
00:02Please tell me how life has changed since season one came out two years ago.
00:06Are you recognised more on the street now?
00:08Someone was outside my house the other day.
00:11Yeah, and I never thought that would be the case.
00:13And how threatening or non-threatening was that?
00:15I mean, they just said my nan told me that you live here.
00:20So I wonder who the source is.
00:24It's very interesting, the nan, but I question that.
00:28Well, in terms of that fan interaction, people outside your house aside,
00:33do you get a lot of online communications from fans?
00:36Because there are millions of people out there who love the series, love the character.
00:39Yeah, I think the fans are so behind the show
00:42and it's wonderful to be part of something that I grew up loving.
00:48And I'm really blessed to be able to tell the story in a deeper way
00:52and explore a character that I also loved growing up.
00:55So it's like a full circle moment.
00:57And it's wonderful to be here and celebrate it for season two.
00:59Can we set the scene, where do we find out as we approach season two,
01:03what art we expect from him?
01:05He wakes up in a spider cave and has to fight Shelob in his first sequence.
01:09So that's where we set the scene
01:12and it just gets more and more extreme from there.
01:14He gets covered in mud, he gets bloody.
01:16It's physical, personal.
01:19There's so much growth that he has to do.
01:21He has to get over some grief.
01:22And I think he leaves season two a man.
01:25So he's no longer a boy.
01:27And that's been wonderful to play
01:28because I'm sort of learning him as he's learning himself.
01:32I might have asked what was the most challenging scene that you had to shoot
01:35but I think you've just told me, haven't you?
01:36Perhaps, yeah.
01:38That wasn't easy.
01:40I'm sure.
01:41Without giving away too much spoilers as well,
01:43what was a favourite moment that you were excited for fans to see from your character?
01:47I think the end sequence.
01:49I mean, there are so many magical monsters
01:52but the ends were just a glorious sequence to shoot.
01:56It was weeks of night shoots
01:58and we were in the middle of Windsor Great Park
02:00surrounded by these beautiful oak trees.
02:02I mean, they're the trees that Tolkien sort of used to...
02:05That was his inspiration for this.
02:08So just being around that was just magical.
02:10Yeah, it just set my inner child and wanderlust just reeling.
02:14That's wonderful. Thank you so much for your time and enjoy tonight as well.
02:17Thanks so much. Cheers.
