00:00I was hoping that our guys would come out with more strain, effort, grit after kind

00:06of getting humbled the other day in practice and then to have it happen again, not where

00:12we want to be.

00:13And I think it's a good lesson for our guys in terms of it doesn't matter who's out there.

00:18If you don't put your best foot forward each and every time you go out on that field, these

00:23things happen to you.

00:24So we're going to have to regroup, take a long, hard look in the mirror.

00:29And we got to get better and we need that urgency from everybody.

00:36It's a little different, I would say, in terms of how you got to judge it.

00:40It was great to see a lot of our younger players go up against NFL starters.

00:46And I thought there was more resiliency, more fight in the second half, especially defensively.

00:52There were some good moments, certainly getting that interception, safety.

00:57There was a couple, I want to say three and outs.

01:00And then there was a lot of, I think the defense was in some tough situations with some of

01:05those sudden changes where the field position is flipped and we're backed up.

01:11But all in all, offensively, just want to see more fight from our guys.

01:16That was frustrating, just the lack of ability to move the football, both in the running

01:21game and in the passing game.

01:23So we definitely just got to reevaluate and take a good, long, hard look at everybody.

01:29I don't ever want to look at it like that.

01:34You always want whoever you put out there to go out there and compete at the highest

01:39level.

01:40And the thing I challenged our team on is I said, you got to check yourself every play.

01:50Are you giving your max effort?

01:52Are you straining the way that we want you to strain?

01:55Is the style of play what we want to see?

01:59So I think it'll be a good opportunity for all of us to kind of evaluate and see the

02:04guys that really want to put it all out there, not only for themselves, but for the team.

02:10With a lot to work on, that's for sure.

02:12Just definitely humbled today.

02:15Just did not make plays when they were there.

02:19A lot of opportunities just missed today.

02:21Just got to be better.

02:23I pride myself on making those plays, especially in critical moments, third downs, and just

02:30wasn't able to convert.

02:31So lots to work on.

02:35Head held a little high, though, but lots to work on.

02:39Yeah, I just think we just need to play better, and there's always plays that we continue

02:44to improve.

02:46But it was a fun momentum swing.

02:48Sure, the scoreboard doesn't necessarily show the end result we wanted, but I think we'll

02:56look at the tape and just try to keep improving.

02:58It's training camp.

02:59It's supposed to be hard.

03:00It was a great opportunity to get out on the grass with going against another great team,

03:04and a team that we practice, too, which just kind of makes it more fun from a competitive

03:09aspect just to see those guys again.

03:11But we're live bullets now, so yeah, there's going to be stuff that we just need to continue

03:17to improve on.

03:18But yeah, just taking it one day at a time.
