Venezuelan expats across the world protest presidential election results

Venezuelans across the world have taken to the streets to defend the opposition’s claim to victory in last month’s disputed presidential election.

00:21In Lisbon, protesters showed copies of the election results presented by the opposition,

00:27which gave 67% of the votes to Edmundo González, more than 7.3 million votes, and only 30%

00:37to Maduro, who will have won 3.3 million votes.

00:41Demonstrators also called on worldwide governments to show their support behind González and

00:47express support to Venezuelans who are fearful in their home country of speaking against

00:52Maduro and his allies.
