00:04The comic book, A Belt and Road, which was written by Qiu Guangyao, a former activist,

00:09was banned in 2019 by the Ministry of the Interior for promoting communism and socialism.

00:14However, Qiu Guangyao later entered the court to challenge the ban.

00:17In the end, he won the case in the Court of Appeal and the Federal Court.

00:20According to the court, the Ministry of the Interior has issued a declaration on August 12th

00:24to revoke the ban on this comic book.

00:27However, the people of the country still can't let go of this comic book.

00:30Chairman Mu Youding urged the authorities to re-examine

00:33and revoke the ban on this political comic book.

00:36He said he didn't know what the decision of the court was,

00:39but he knew that this comic book could not be allowed to be brought into the school,

00:42because some elements, such as communism and socialism,

00:46are not compatible with our country's culture.

00:48This is not a small problem.

00:50It involves national security and the future of children.

00:53As for Yuan Huaishao, the young leader of the Tupou Party,

00:56he said he was very disappointed with the decision of the Ministry of the Interior to revoke the ban on this book.

01:02was not compatible with the diverse social sentiments of Malaysia,

01:05and it was not suitable for children to read.

01:07He therefore asked the Ministry of Education to issue an order

01:09to ban the comic book, A Belt and Road,

01:11from being transmitted within the school,

01:13to ensure that children will not come into contact with related comics.

01:16In response to the deep protest of the opposition party,

01:18the head of the Ministry of Communications,

01:21he emphasized that the government will respect and follow the judgment of the court.

01:45The Ministry of the Interior revoked the political comic book

01:47A Belt and Road, which was co-written by former party member Qiu Guangyao.

01:52However, the Minister of Communications and the spokesman for the United Government, Fahmi,

01:55explained that the ban was not issued by the government.

01:58The Ministry of the Interior revoked the ban based on respect for judicial institutions and the rule of law.

02:03He emphasized that everyone has the right to issue an opinion on the revocation of the ban,

02:07but the government will follow the judgment of the court.

02:09Fahmi also revealed that this matter was not discussed at yesterday's cabinet meeting.
