Emanating her Fenix-Deceuninck teammate Yara Kastelijn, who won last year's 4th stage, Puck Pieterse outsprinted Demi Vollering and Kasia Niewiadoma to take the victory in Liège. Her top speed in the sprint was 60.3km/h and despite Vollering finishing faster, Pieterse managed to hold on for the win. It was a brilliant race from the Dutch cyclo-cross specialist who is also now the proud owner of both the White and Polkadot jerseys.
