00:00Whenever I make a documentary, I don't think of it as an award, or a relay, or something like that.
00:10This will be in Cinemalaya. We don't think of it that way.
00:18All of the stories that we make in Eyewitness, we make it a point that it's memorable.
00:24I really like going to Mindoro. I fell in love with the Mangyans, the Mangyans of Mindoro.
00:42Actually, every year I go back to Mindoro, if not to do a story, it's to just visit the communities.
00:51As long as there are still many who are struggling, as long as there are children who are unable to go to school
00:56because they need to work, as long as there are families who are hungry,
01:02as long as there are communities that do not receive basic services,
01:06Eyewitness always has a story to tell.
01:10Whenever I make a documentary, I don't think of it as an award, or a relay, or something like that.
01:19This will be in Cinemalaya. We don't think of it that way.
01:24And I think for all those who want to make documentaries in the future,
01:29your heart and mind should be the same when you do your documentaries.
01:33You're not doing this for the big screen. You're not doing this for the award.
01:38You're doing this because the story deserves to be told.
01:42It's that simple. Because people should know this story.
01:48So, that's it. And the sincerity and authenticity of the documentary will come out naturally.
