00:39comfortable with Midwestern values I can assure you tampons in the boys room

00:45funded by taxpayers I miss women mr. values and I can sure is tell you right

00:52now that telling people or implying or even winking and nodding that you served

00:59in a war zone when you didn't good luck brother good luck I want to put this out

01:10there in advance I'm gonna say it again I did not serve in the military it is my

01:14greatest regret we all live with regrets and things we wish we could change that

01:19is mine I've only said it for the three-and-a-half years I've been on the

01:22radio in the ten years I've been doing my podcast I tell you that because I am

01:27no different than you I'm not special there's nothing about me special I have

01:33a job I take seriously I'm glad you like what I do I like you being here I am not

01:37special I make mistakes every day I screw stuff up every day and I have

01:42serious regrets that sometimes keep me up at night I had one less I actually

01:46lost sleep I asked Paula I go to sleep at 9 1130 I come walking out she's

01:50watching a TV show with my daughter so what are you doing up I couldn't sleep

01:54last night something was on my mind it doesn't matter here but I have regrets

01:59just like you not serving in the military is my greatest one you know I

02:05noticed something when I was an instructor in the Secret Service I would

02:07always pick a military guy to be the class president of the Secret Service

02:12training class always I pick Marines a lot too they put five five paragraph

02:17orders for everything they were amazing you didn't have to tell him anything

02:19actually just give him you give him a sentence instructions hey I need the

02:22guys there in 15 minutes he didn't ask well how do we get there he did figure

02:27it out they'd go get the van they'd walk didn't get they'd figure it out I

02:32discovered this thing about the military despite the fact I was never in it in

02:36working with these guys and training a lot of them for three years at the

02:40training center the military can't make a bad man good bad managers bad men but

02:48they can make a good guy great like nothing else nothing there's no college

02:53law school medical school reform school nothing the military can take a good guy

02:58and make him a diamond never see anything like it but you don't steal

03:06that valor from these people ever that is evil it is demonic here's JD Vance

03:16who actually served in Iraq as a Marine proudly but candidly you go back and

03:21look at his campaign ads he didn't make this the center of his thing remember

03:24Tim Walz the reason this is so damaging to walls is walls this was the

03:29centerpiece of his so-called Midwestern values look at me served in when a war

03:56he did he dropped out of the army and allowed his unit to go without him a

04:00fact that he's been criticized for aggressively by a lot of the people that

04:04he served with darn right JD Vance actually did serve in Iraq you can look

04:13that up there's no damaging narratives there except the truth which isn't

05:57provided base security throughout the European theater from Turkey to England

06:02in the early stages of the war in Afghanistan and that same battalion is

06:07now in Iraq the same battalion is in Iraq and not with you you notice how he

06:14plays this sort of word game now fairly enough you may be like well Dan he was

06:18playing a little cutesy time with the words we didn't exactly say he was in a

06:22war theater carrying a weapon of war oh no he did Jim cue up that one if you

06:26would but is that he was cut 11 listen very closely to Tim Walls tampon Tim's

06:33exact words on him carrying weapons of war and you tell me what kind of word

07:18me be absolutely clear I was not in war I was in war zones but I was not in war

07:24no I well I mean I did the lead advance for Obama at Bagram Air Base I was in no

07:29way in combat no way shape or form and let me tell you someone I sat there in

07:35Bagram Air Base I was there for about two weeks and I was there under a

07:40different banner because they didn't want anyone to know Obama was coming so

07:43they told everyone I was a DOD official I saw these soldiers Marines on the base

07:50and they living in these hooches or sand everywhere all the time breathing all

07:55the stuff in you're always dirty they gave me a Connex box you ever see a

08:00Connex box when a shipping containers and they convert them into little rooms

08:03I gotta tell you it was pretty good living you laugh it was for being on a

08:08military base these other guys man they didn't get that these hooches again

08:14sand all over the place these guys are there forever I was there for two weeks

08:20these guys are dealing with IDF indirect fire every day they got these little you

08:25know in Bagram before Biden abandoned it they have these little carve-outs these

08:29concrete carve-outs everywhere you know what they're for they're for when they

08:33launch indirect fire onto the base so you can go hide under it so you don't

08:36have to get you know killed by shrapnel and stuff and go secrete yourself in

08:40there so you know you don't die imagine that you're like I'm going to get a coke

08:44at the restaurant that's what they deal with every day was Tim there Tim Walz he

08:51says he was there he was in a carrying a weapon of war I mean I was there I was

08:58not in any way in combat is that in the military I deserve zero accolades
