00:00The price of processed meat following the outbreak of African Swine Fever, or ASF, has possibly increased.
00:08According to the Philippine Amalgamated Supermarkets Association,
00:12the outbreak could have an impact on the price of pork in the Batangas,
00:16especially since the pork meat was produced in large quantities.
00:20Because of the ASF outbreak, the Agriculture Department will place a checkpoint
00:24so that the infected pork won't be exposed and there will be extensive testing.
00:30But according to the Philippine Association of Meat Processors Incorporated,
00:34the ASF has no effect on their product.
