Space Settlement Design Competition: एमिटी इंटरनेशनल स्कूल, पुष्प विहार के 10 छात्रों की टीम ने कैनेडी स्पेस सेंटर नासा, टाइटसविले, फ्लोरिडा, यूएसए में आयोजित अंतरराष्ट्रीय स्पेस सेंटलमेंट डिजाइन प्रतियोगिता जीत ली है. यह प्रतियोगिता 26 जुलाई से 29 जुलाई के बीच आयोजित की गई थी.

00:00My name is Dhruv Bhandari.
00:02My entire team of 10 people went to Florida, USA, NASA Kennedy Space Center.
00:08There, the judges gave us a requirement to make a space settlement.
00:14We had to make a proposal according to that space settlement.
00:17We only got 40 hours.
00:19We had to finish the proposal in that.
00:22In the end, we got the best idea award.
00:30According to that, we won the competition.

00:36I study in the second class.
00:38I am an Amity National School, Kushvihar.
00:41We made 4 types of houses which were very innovative.
00:45We had townhouses, villas and 2 types of apartments.
00:50Overall, it was one of our top departments.

00:59To clean things like oxygen, water and atmosphere, our operations department works.
01:05For the atmosphere, we have a subcontractor called Stuff of Life.
01:10Stuff of Life provides us an atmosphere like earth.
01:13It has nitrogen 78%, oxygen 21% and carbon and other gases.
01:19For water, we have many different methods.
01:24For example, we made water by melting lunar ice.
01:29We have hydroponics for food.
01:32We do such things which are commonly used in space settlements.

01:40There are many methods related to food which we use.
01:45We had to make our settlement on the moon.
01:48We cannot take soil to the moon.
01:50We had to think how to grow food without soil.
01:54So that it is a mass production.
01:56In hydroponics and aeroponics, all the plants are kept in a vertical stack.
02:05They are provided with a mist.
02:07It is not an ordinary mist.
02:09Specific nutrients are provided in the mist.
02:12For example, potassium and sodium.
02:15The plants are given the mist in such a way that the roots absorb the mist.
02:21As soon as the mist is absorbed, all the nutrients are absorbed.
02:25This way, we can grow crops without soil using aeroponics.

02:32We grow all the crops on the earth.
02:39We also provide food supplements to people so that they can take more nutrients.
02:44We make proper food for our robots.
