00:00Serena Williams has slammed a five-star hotel in Paris after a member of staff admitted they
00:05didn't recognize her after she claimed the venue turned her and her kids away from their rooftop
00:09restaurant. The 23-time Grand Slam winner took to social media to publicly complain about the
00:15treatment she received at the Peninsula Hotel on Monday. Sharing a snap of the hotel, she wrote
00:20alongside it, ''Yikes! At Peninsula Paris I've been denied access to rooftop to eat in an empty
00:26restaurant of nicer places, but never with my kids. Always a first.'' The hotel hit back in a
00:32post on social media, claiming that the only unoccupied tables she saw belonged to their
00:37gourmet restaurant, Loiseau Blanc, which they said was fully booked. A member of staff at the
00:43hotel's rooftop restaurant, Maxime Manavi, has reportedly claimed that Williams looked
00:48unrecognizable, according to her colleague who was working at the time.
