Covid infections among Olympic athletes: WHO urges governments to 'strengthen approach'  The WHO says it is "not surprising" that athletes have been infected during the Paris Olympic Games amid a new global rise in cases. 00:04is circulating quite rampantly in other countries.

00:07What's very different now is the impact.

00:09We aren't seeing the levels of impact like we saw in 2020, 2021, 2022, and that's because

00:16we have therapeutics, we have better testing, and we have protection because of past infection

00:20as well as vaccination.

00:23Governments need to be strengthening their approach to using COVID vaccines, especially
