00:00The inventors of the airplane once said it is possible to fly without motors but
00:04not without knowledge and skill. Today you will witness this truth firsthand as
00:09we're gonna show you unbelievable aviation moments like fighter jets
00:13breaking the sound barrier.
00:17Ready to launch? Let's take off! These Belgian Air Force personnel are truly
00:25experiencing an epic Mission Impossible scene in real life.
00:41And check out this insane F-22 Cobra in flare maneuver.
00:56And an F-22 Raptor doing a hard 90-degree turn with afterburners is not
01:04something you see every day.
01:11A good pilot can make even failures look awesome.
01:17I would strongly suggest you to not build your own helicopter at home but
01:29these people in Africa seem to make it work. Except for one problem in that it
01:35can't lift off the ground. But these guys decided to take homemade helicopters to
01:43the next level and made something called a hungarocopter which is capable of
01:47doing some insane maneuvers.
02:13I get the feeling there are no small mistakes in this sport.
02:28A star of the Singapore Airshow flying display is a Sukhoi Su-30MKM tailored
02:34for the Royal Malaysian Air Force. With thrust vectoring it performs impressive
02:39acrobatics like the Cobra maneuver.
02:50When this guy brought his wife to an air show she was in for a real surprise as
02:55the Vulcan bomber displayed its power.
03:10If you want to have a nice day at the beach make sure to not go to one that's
03:19right by an airport.
03:39It's epic to see F-16s in an air show but it's even more impressive seeing it
03:48from the pilots point of view.
04:09And these people have some insane skills and also great courage to have the nerves
04:13to do these crazy stunts.
04:39Imagine just playing soccer with your kid outside your house when this monster
04:52suddenly appears above you.
05:10Here's what it's like for an army paratrooper to step into the air over a
05:19drop zone.
05:39Imagine you're just enjoying the outdoors with your family when suddenly
05:51an Apache helicopter decides to emergency land in your backyard. That's
05:55exactly what happened to these guys as the aircraft suffered major hydraulic
06:00problems and the pilot had to land immediately to call his boss and get
06:03expert help to fix it.
06:07Jumping out of a plane and landing to a stadium of applause has got to be one of
06:12the greatest feelings ever.
06:33Skydiver Jay Alvarez decided to combine his two skills and skateboarded above
06:44the clouds.
07:03Witnessing a space shuttle launch from the ground is one thing but seeing it
07:11from an airplane is another level.
07:34The bravery that these guys have is not normal.
07:37They're literally doing stunts that most people's brains would have blocked them
07:41from doing and they don't lack skill that's for sure.
07:44You thought you'd seen low pass until you witnessed this extreme low pass done
08:07by legendary Russian Sukhoi test pilot Anatoly Kovachev in a Sukhoi Su-30
08:13Flanker.
08:27As might be expected this crazy stunt has never been done before but that
08:32didn't stop experienced skydiver Sebastian Alvarez from wanting to try.
08:37He's flown over volcanoes before but with a new suit design and careful
08:45preparation he became the first person to fly into and out of an active
08:50volcano in a wingsuit.
08:59These guys just spent twenty thousand dollars on a really huge drone to do
09:03something totally worth it.
09:05That guy really trusts his friends. Do you think this was worth twenty thousand
09:09dollars?
09:20The F-22 Raptor doesn't really fear any opponent in the skies but it's not
09:26immune to suddenly stalling and free-falling.
09:29Luckily this pilot was skilled enough to save himself and the expensive plane.
09:47These Royal Marines using a jetpack looks like it's straight out of a sci-fi
09:50movie.
09:51Just watch how they effortlessly fly around completing missions almost like
09:55they're in a video game.
09:59Watch as a 97-year-old World War II veteran and former paratrooper
10:29recreated his jump in Omaha Beach marking 75 years since he first lapped
10:34during D-Day.
10:37Imagine getting a grain of sand in the eye at this speed?
11:07That girl was holding on to her iPad for dear life.
11:18This must be the most American thing I've seen in a long time.
11:37These guys were out flying their RC planes when suddenly an Apache attack
11:47helicopter spotted them and decided to give them a treat they'll never forget.
11:51If you visit the world's largest air show Oshkosh you shouldn't be
12:13surprised seeing insanely skilled pilots like this.
12:21Pilot Vincent Fraser had just gotten his pilot's license and was flying with his
12:30father-in-law over the mountains when the single-engine plane suddenly failed.
12:35Luckily while dodging power lines on their way down he managed to make an
12:39emergency landing on a busy highway without hitting a single vehicle.
12:43Imagine you're a police officer driving around the peaceful neighborhood when
12:50you suddenly see a single plane engine flying rape-eye and doing an emergency
12:55landing.
12:56It's one thing to see cars race but have you ever seen a giant Boeing 747
13:14overtaking a Boeing 737?
13:17Have you ever seen another plane while flying?
13:40It's a rare sight to see but these passengers got a once-in-a-lifetime
13:45experience as two giant airliners.
13:47The world's longest passenger airliner Boeing 747-8 and its older version 747-400
13:54had an epic race to see who's faster and it seems like the newest bird of the
13:58Boeing family won.
14:11To celebrate Queen Elizabeth's Platinum Jubilee, 70 military planes, jets and
14:16helicopters flew past London during the ceremony of Trooping of the Colour.
14:47And the 70 aircraft flyover marked 70 years of the Queen on the throne.
15:10This F-A-18 Hornet might seem like it's breaking the sound barrier but it's not.
15:20The cloud-like shape around the jet is caused by something called vapor pressure
15:24which happens during transonic flight.
15:28Okay, so this certainly explains a lot.
15:32This Chinese tech company recently unveiled their manned flying saucer and the goal is
15:36to use it as transportation for tourists.
15:50A real scientist and inventor can easily go crazy in the process of creating an
15:55extraordinary invention.
16:02Which is probably what happened to this guy who's in the process of creating a
16:06hoverboard called the Mark 2.
16:08But in order to make sure it's safe, he has to go through a series of scary tests.
16:23This is called the Zeva Aero and it's all about zipping through the sky sustainably.
16:27It takes off vertically and then hovers, zooms forward and cruises at a cool 160
16:34And in 1934, this weird-looking plane had its very first test flight.
16:44It's called the Umbrella plane and with its unique wing design, it aimed to offer stability
16:48and ease of control, making flying more accessible to a wider range of people.
16:53And even though its unusual design and limited capabilities couldn't compete with
16:57modern aircrafts, it still looked pretty cool.
17:07In the future, we might have planes that can fly forever.
17:10Let's check out this remotely piloted solar-powered aircraft prototype created by NASA.
17:28Just imagine being on a bus on your way to work and suddenly a Navy helicopter crash
17:48lands on top of you.
17:50Apparently, the Mexican Navy helicopter was headed to areas affected by Hurricane Grace
17:55and thankfully no one was injured.
18:15A pilot ejected from a Lockheed Martin F-35B Lightning II fighter jet during a failed landing
18:22at the Naval Air Station JBR Fort Worth, causing the expensive aircraft to crash.
18:41Most importantly though, the pilot made it out unharmed.
18:50Apparently nobody was injured in this next clip that was filmed in 2010.
18:54It shows a CF-18 crashing during an airshow in Canada.
18:58The pilot ejected in his Martin Baker NASA seat just as the BG Stayin' Alive was playing
19:04in the speakers.
19:26Stunt pilot Luke Chiesapiella managed to land a small airplane on the world-famous helipad
19:32on top of the iconic 7-star hotel in Dubai.
19:35The helipad is only 27 meters in diameter, but after only a couple of attempts, he finally
19:40did it.
20:06Watch as this F-16 pilot gives the plane spotters a Turkish haircut.
20:18And if you thought that looked unbelievable now, just compare it to this 1920s early helicopter
20:23and you'll be even more amazed at how rapidly technical development has been over the years.
20:36The amount of engineering that went into this incredible aircraft is on another level.
20:45Just witness how steady this F-35B looks as it does its very first vertical test take-off.
21:15Now, you've witnessed a bunch of incredible aviation moments from today's technological
21:24marvels.
21:25Let's rewind the clock and take a look at how it all began.
21:46These are only a few of the many pioneers who experienced failures trying to do the
21:50impossible.
21:51As you can see, all big things come from small beginnings.
21:55Thank you for watching!
