I'm James Campbell, Chairman of the Moy Country Fair.
00:18
This is our 44th Moy Country Fair and we're delighted that the weather's really good this
00:25
year and there's a good crowd arriving. So this year we have a special charity RNLI
00:33
celebrating their 200th anniversary so we're promoting them as part of our activities.
00:39
Hi I'm Frances Beveridge, I'm a Community Manager for the RNLI.
00:43
This year the RNLI are celebrating 200 years and we were 200 on the 4th of March and we've
00:49
had lots of celebrations already throughout this year and there's so much more to come.
00:52
We want to continue to be here as well for the next 200 years if we possibly can and that is
00:58
only possible through the public, through people like yourselves supporting us, volunteering or
01:03
giving us donations. We are so delighted that Moy Country Fair has chosen us as their chosen
01:08
charity this year. When I approached them and asked if it would be a possibility because
01:12
we're celebrating such a big year they were more than welcome to help us. It is so great to have
01:17
such a massive presence at the fair. You get a variety of lots of different people coming,
01:22
you've got so many different sports and things that people want to be involved in. Also very
01:26
fitting because a lot of people since Covid have taken to the water hence why Moy approached us to
01:31
ask if we could be part of their special weekend. I love coming to Moy Country Fair, I've actually
01:36
come here since I was a little girl so to be able to come here to actually help people to maybe give
01:42
them information that could possibly save their life or they could pass information on to other
01:46
people that could possibly save their life is a once in a lifetime opportunity. It's a great family
01:51
day out for everybody not just in the local area but the people come from quite a long distance to
01:58
to the fair because they just love meeting friends maybe once a year at this event and it's
02:04
it's a great family event so it's there's something here for all the family. I've been a part of it
02:10
from the very beginning, my parents were involved and my family are all involved and many of the
02:18
committee have come down through the generations and it's something that we've all enjoyed
02:23
in hosting and helping people to to have a fun day out at this time of year.
