मनु भाकर ने पेरिस ओलंपिक में रविवार को 10 मीटर एयर पिस्टल इवेंट में ब्रॉन्ज मेडल जीता। भारत का इस ओलंपिक में यह पहला मेडल है। पेरिस ओलंपिक में पहला मेडल जीतने पर लोकसभा अध्यक्ष ओम बिड़ला ने सदन में मनु भाकर को शुभकामनाएं दी। उन्होंने कहा,पेरिस ओलंपिक में महिलाओं की 10 मीटर एयर पिस्टल प्रतिस्पर्धा में मनु भाकर ने कांस्य पदक जीतकर इतिहास रच दिया है। वह निशानेबाजी प्रतिस्पर्धा में ओलंपिक पदक जीतने वाली पहली भारतीय महिला खिलाड़ी बन गई हैं। उनकी सफलता से पूरे देश में उत्साह और उमंग का वातावरण बन गया है। ‘मैं सदन की ओर से और अपनी ओर से मनु भाकर को बधाई देता हूं। अन्य भारतीय खिलाड़ियों को भी शुभकामनाएं देते हैं और आशा करते हैं कि वे देश का मान-सम्मान बढ़ाएंगे।’
