Iran is behind all the terrorism - Netanyahu tells Congress _ FOX 5 News

00:00My friends, in the Middle East, Iran is virtually beyond, behind, all the terrorism, all the turmoil, all the chaos, all the killing.

00:12And that should come as no surprise.

00:15When he founded the Islamic Republic, Ayatollah Khomeini pledged,

00:20we will export our revolution to the entire world.

00:24We will export the Islamic revolution to the entire world.

00:30Now ask yourself, which country ultimately stands in the way of Iran's maniacal plans to impose radical Islam on the world?

00:40And the answer is clear.

00:42It's America, the guardian of Western civilization and the world's greatest power.

00:47That's why Iran sees America as its greatest enemy.

01:07Last month, we heard a revealing comment, essentially about the war in Gaza, but about something else.

01:17It came from the foreign minister of Iran's proxy, Hezbollah, and he said this,

01:22This is not a war with Israel. Israel, he said, is merely a tool.

01:28The main war, the real war, is with America.

01:33Iran's regime has been fighting America from the moment it came to power.

01:37In 1979, it stormed the American embassy.

01:41It held scores of Americans hostage for 444 days.

01:46Since then, Iran's terrorist proxies have targeted America in the Middle East and beyond.

01:52In Beirut, they killed 241 U.S. servicemen.

01:56In Africa, they bombed American embassies.

01:59In Iraq, they supplied explosives to maim and kill thousands of American soldiers.

02:05In America, in America, they actually sent death squads.

02:11They sent death squads here to murder a former secretary of state and a former national security advisor.

02:18And as we recently learned, they even brazenly threatened to assassinate President Trump.

02:24But Iran understands that to truly challenge America, it must first conquer the Middle East.

02:31And for this, it uses its many proxies, including the Houthis, Hezbollah, and Hamas.

02:38Yet in the heart of the Middle East, standing in Iran's way, is one proud pro-American democracy,

02:46my country, the State of Israel.

02:53That's why, that's why the mobs in Tehran chant death to Israel before they chant death to America.

03:17For Iran, Israel is first, America is next.

03:21So when Israel fights Hamas, we're fighting Iran.

03:25When we fight Hezbollah, we're fighting Iran.

03:28When we fight the Houthis, we're fighting Iran.

03:31And when we fight Iran, we're fighting the most radical and murderous enemy of the United States of America.

03:37And one more thing, when Israel acts to prevent Iran from developing nuclear weapons,

03:45nuclear weapons that could destroy Israel and threaten every American city, every city that you come from,

03:52we're not only protecting ourselves, we're protecting you.
