Transcript
00:00The Saudi government once again obliges to vaccinate Meningitis
00:05to all Jama'at Umrah that will go to the Holy Land.
00:09The obligation to vaccinate Meningitis
00:11has been in force since July 11, 1446 Hijri.
00:18This regulation was immediately adopted by the Ministry of Health
00:22by obliging all Jama'at Umrah candidates to vaccinate Meningitis
00:29before going to the Holy Land
00:31to protect themselves from endemic diseases
00:33while they are in Saudi Arabia.
00:36These are the things that need to be known
00:39before Jama'at candidates vaccinate Meningitis.
00:43Currently, the Ministry of Health recommends
00:46two types of Meningitis vaccines,
00:48namely Polisaccharide and Conjugate.
00:52The public only needs to choose one of these two vaccines
00:56which both give immunity against the attack of Meningitis.
01:01However, the duration of the immunity produced is different.
01:05Polisaccharide gives immunity for 3 years
01:09while Conjugate gives immunity for 5 years.
01:15Meningitis vaccination can be given to children
01:18above the age of 9 months to all adults.
01:23However, the Ministry of Health does not recommend
01:26vaccination for children under the age of 9 months
01:30and pregnant women in the first trimester.
01:34If a Jama'at candidate is included in a group
01:37that is not recommended to be vaccinated for Meningitis,
01:40then the Jama'at candidate needs a contraindication letter
01:45from a doctor or medical institution.
01:49Just like other vaccine injections,
01:53Meningitis vaccination will give a side effect
01:56such as mild fever and itchiness for 1-2 days.
02:03Another action taken by the Ministry of Health
02:07is to socialize all Hajj and Umrah travel associations
02:12related to vaccination services for Jama'at Umrah candidates.
02:17This was directly reported by the Director of Surveillance
02:20and Quarantine of the Ministry of Health
02:23Dr. Ahmad Farhani.
02:27Some time ago, we socialized all Hajj and Umrah travel associations.
02:40We also asked all associations to report to the Hajj and Umrah travel bureaus
02:48about their plans for vaccination services.
02:55Farhani insisted that Meningitis vaccination is available
02:59at 51 quarantine and health centers
03:02and 1,228 hospitals and clinics throughout Indonesia
03:07in a sufficient amount.
03:11He also ensured that all Jama'at Umrah candidates
03:14can easily access the Meningitis vaccine
03:1710 days before departure.
03:20Jama'at Umrah candidates can also register for vaccination
03:24through the Health Quarantine Information System
03:28or simkarkes.kempkes.go.id
03:32or through the Satu Sehat application
