00:41Friends, if we study Islam, the last book of Allah, the Holy Qur'an,
00:47and the hadiths of the Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him,
00:51then we come to know that there are many realms other than this realm.
00:55Since man grasps consciousness in this realm, he feels that this is the only world and this is the only realm.
01:01Allah said,
01:02There is no messenger of Allah but the mercy of the worlds.
01:05Indeed, We have sent you, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, as a mercy for all the worlds.
01:09It should be clear here that this is not just one world or realm, but there are many.
01:14This is one realm of man's life.
01:16There was one before coming into this life, which is called the realm of souls.
01:20Friends, the question here is what was in the realm of souls?
01:23The answer is that the realm of souls is the realm where all the souls of man exist.
01:28Friends, according to the decision of Allah, when the body of Adam came into existence first,
01:34then Allah blew his soul into it.
01:36In this way, he became a complete human being.
01:38Allah said in Surah Al-A'raf, verse number 172,
01:41And when your Lord took out his children from the back of the Children of Adam,
01:46it was declared about them that I am not your Lord.
01:50Everyone replied, Why not? We are all witnesses.
01:53So that on the Day of Judgment you do not say that we were completely unaware of it.
01:57The interpretation of this verse is that Allah took a promise from the Children of Adam.
02:02So he took out all his children from the back of Adam and put them in front of him and asked him,
02:09Am I not your Lord?
02:11Everyone said, Why not? We all testify that you are our Lord.
02:18So this promise was taken from the souls of men.
02:21First, let's see what is the name of the soul?
02:23There are two parts of the human body.
02:25One is the soul and the other is the body.
02:27The body is material, i.e. visible.
02:30The part that holds weight is the solid part.
02:32Whereas the soul is non-physical and invisible.
02:35Now Allah has given a special teaching to all these souls.
02:39Because of this special teaching, everyone knows what is true and what is false,
02:43what is bad and what is good.
02:46A person came to Hazrat Ali and asked,
02:49O Maulana Ali, what was the soul of man doing in the realm of souls?
02:52So Maulana Ali said,
02:55Allah created Adam a.s. hundreds of thousands of years ago.
02:59And this world is called the world of souls.
03:02Remember this.
03:04Every soul created in this world was worshipping Allah.
03:08And she was saying, O Allah!
03:10Take me through the test,
03:12so that I may also pass the test and become your beloved.
03:16Allah gave every soul a test,
03:18which was extremely easy for it.
03:20But unfortunately,
03:22when it comes to the earth to pass the test,
03:24it gets entangled in the desires of the world in such a way
03:27that it forgets its purpose.
03:29I have heard from the Messenger of Allah,
03:33that every soul comes to the earth after making a promise to Allah in the realm of souls.
03:37This world is a web of desires,
03:39whose reality is nothing but deception.
03:41Now it is the duty of all the Prophets and Saints
03:44to remind man of the promise of the realm of souls.
03:47And the one who remembers this promise and wins his destination,
03:51he gets his destination.
03:53And the one who forgets the promise of the realm of souls
03:55and lives and gets lost in the colorfulness of the world,
03:57he gets embarrassed in both the world and the hereafter.
04:01He said, O Ali!
04:03How do we know what is the promise we have made in the realm of souls?
04:09So Imam Ali said,
04:11O man!
04:13When man lives,
04:15there are always two ways in front of him.
04:17One way is where Allah's creation is good,
04:21others benefit,
04:23and the other way is
04:25where man benefits his ego
04:27or the loss of someone else.
04:29Remember,
04:31the purpose of life is not to live for your benefit,
04:33but to cherish the benefit of others.
04:35Every decision in which Allah's creation is good,
04:39that decision is a promise made in the realm of souls.
04:42Which man has made in the realm of souls and come to earth.
04:45And every decision in which man's ego is happy,
04:48that decision is a deception of worldly desires.
04:50The biggest sign of being close to Allah is that
04:53he will not have worldly desires in his heart.
04:56His ego will be for Allah.
04:58His desire will be for the pleasure of Allah.
05:00If you look at this attribute in a person,
05:02then understand that
05:04this is according to the promise made by Allah in the realm of souls.
05:08But if a person falls into the abyss of worldly desires
05:11and lives for the happiness of his ego,
05:14then understand that
05:15he lives by forgetting the promise of the realm of souls.
05:18So friends,
05:19the promises of Allah for the people of the realm of souls
05:21are called Ahd al-Ast.
