00:00Yesterday, Matthew Stafford gets himself a new deal, or shall we say a reworked deal,

00:11Apparently there were some rumblings that Stafford might not show up at Ram Camp.

00:14Sean McVeigh is very thankful that is not going to happen.

00:18He will have his quarterback ready to ride right here at the start of camp.

00:21Here's McVeigh.

00:22And ultimately, it was all geared towards finding a solution that really suits our team,

00:27but also accommodates some of the things that represent Matthew's worth for us, and

00:32we feel like we were able to do that.

00:33And so that was always the goal in mind, and that's where we're at, and we're excited about

00:37that.

00:38Is he here tomorrow?

00:53I'm grateful that we're in this position, but yes, that is what the delay was for.

00:57And so I'm grateful that we came to the solution that I think we all wanted, and now we can

01:01focus on this team and him being able to lead the way and a lot of exciting things to potentially

01:06be in store.

01:07Listen, the bottom line is he's an excellent quarterback.

01:11I mean, he's one of the best in the business.

01:13That's all there is to it.

01:14He's still really good.

01:18And what he did with Puka shells last year was sensational.

01:24So they win because of him.

01:26And I think McVay is a good coach.

01:29They know they needed Stafford, and they gave him more money.

01:36Of course, the Rams made the playoffs last year, had that loss to the Lions, unfortunately.

02:04But look, I think the Rams can win nine games with Matt Stafford and that receiving core.

02:15But anytime you have a quarterback that good, you've got a shot at winning games.

02:20And I don't think it's inconceivable that they win nine, 10 games.

02:24I mean, they made the playoffs last year.

02:26So would they win nine games?

02:28I think they can do it again.
