Guided by the Shepherd - A Reflection on Revelation 7:17

Today we turn our hearts to
Revelation chapter 7 verse 17,
a beautiful promise
that brings hope and comfort.
It says;

"For the Lamb
at the center of the throne
will be their shepherd;
'he will lead them
to springs of living water.'
And God will wipe away
every tear from their eyes."

In this verse,
we encounter a vivid image;
the Lamb,
representing Jesus Christ,
stands at the very heart
of the heavenly throne.
He is not only our Saviour
but also our Shepherd.
Imagine Him
guiding us to refreshing springs
of living water.
These waters symbolize eternal life,
spiritual nourishment,
and the fulfillment
of our deepest longings.

But there's more:
God Himself tenderly wipes away
every tear from our eyes.
In a world marred by pain,
loss, and brokenness,
this promise shines like a beacon.
Our tears;
whether from grief,
disappointment, or weariness;
will find solace
in His compassionate touch.

Let us Pray.

Dear Heavenly Father,
we thank You for the Lamb;
the Shepherd who leads us
to life-giving waters.
As we journey
through this earthly pilgrimage,
wipe away our tears.
Comfort those who mourn,
heal the wounded,
and restore hope to the weary.
May we find our ultimate solace in You,
our Shepherd and Sustainer. I
