00:00In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit, peace be with you.
00:20We acknowledge our sins, we acknowledge the compassion, the mercy of God.
00:25You walk with us in good times and in bad times, Lord have mercy.
00:31You call us away from fear and confusion into love, Christ have mercy.
00:36Your love is bigger than anything, Lord have mercy.
00:40May Almighty God have mercy on us, forgive us our sins, and lead us into healing and
00:46life everlasting.
00:48Let us pray.
00:49O God, we show the light of your truth to those who go astray, so that they may return
00:56to the right path, evolve before the faith they profess, our accounted Christians.
01:03The grace to reject whatever is contrary to the name of Christ, and so to strive after
01:08all that does it honor.
01:10Through our Lord Jesus Christ, your Son, who lives and reigns with you in the unity of
01:15the Holy Spirit, God forever and ever, Amen.
01:21A reading from the prophet Isaiah.
01:26Hezekiah fell ill and was at the point of death.
01:30The prophet Isaiah, son of Amos, came and said to him, the Lord says this, put your
01:37affairs in order or you are going to die, you will not live.
01:43Hezekiah turned his face to the wall and addressed this prayer to the Lord, our Lord
01:49remember, I beg you, how I have behaved faithfully and with sincerity of heart in your presence
01:56and done what is right in your eyes.
01:59Hezekiah shed many tears.
02:02When the word of the Lord came to Isaiah, go and say to Hezekiah, the Lord, the God
02:07of David, your ancestor, says this, I have heard your prayer and seen your tears.
02:13I will cure you in three days time.
02:16You shall go up to the temple of the Lord.
02:18I will add 15 years to your life.
02:21I will save you from the hands of the king of Assyria.
02:24I will protect this city.
02:27Bring a freak, Pertutus, Isaiah said, apply it to the ulcer and he will recover.
02:35Hezekiah said, what is the sign to tell me that I shall be going up to the temple of
02:41the Lord?
02:42Here, Isaiah replied, is the sign from the Lord that he will do what he has said.
02:49Look, I shall make the shadow cast of the declining sun go back 10 steps on the steps
02:56of the Ahaz.
02:57And the sun went back 10 steps by which he had declined.
03:05The word of the Lord thanks be to God.
03:09You saved my life, O Lord, I shall not die.
03:13You saved my life, O Lord, I shall not die.
03:17I said, so I must go away.
03:20My life I've spent assigned to the world below for the rest of my years.
03:26You saved my life, O Lord, I shall not die.
03:30I said, no more shall I see the Lord in the land of the living.
03:35No more shall I look upon men within this world.
03:39You saved my life, O Lord, I shall not die.
03:43My home is pulled up and removed like a shepherd's tent, like a weaver you've rolled up my life.
03:50You cut it from the loom.
03:52You saved my life, O Lord, I shall not die.
03:56For you, Lord, my heart shall live.
03:59You gave me back my spirit.
04:01You cured me, kept me alive, changed my sickness into health.
04:06You saved my life, O Lord, I shall not die.
04:10Alleluia, alleluia.
04:12My sheep listen to my voice, says the Lord.
04:15I know them, they follow me.
04:17Alleluia.
04:21The Lord be with you.
04:23A reading from the Holy Gospel according to Matthew.
04:29Jesus took a walk one Sabbath day through the cornfields.
04:33His disciples were hungry and began to pick ears of corn and eat them.
04:38The Pharisees noticed it and said to him, look, your disciples are doing something that
04:44is forbidden on the Sabbath.
04:46But he said to them, have you not read what David did when he and his followers were hungry?
04:52How he went into the house of God and how they ate the loaves of offering, which neither
04:59he nor his followers were allowed to eat, but which were for the priests alone.
05:06Or again, have you not read in the law that on the Sabbath day the temple priests break
05:12the Sabbath without being blamed for it?
05:15Now here I tell you, it's something greater than the temple.
05:18And if you have understood the meaning of the words, what I want is mercy, not sacrifice,
05:24you would not have condemned the blameless.
05:26But the Son of Man is master of the Sabbath.
05:31The Gospel of the Lord.
05:33Praise to you, Lord Jesus Christ.
05:39It might be the revelation of who Jesus is becomes open in the Gospel.
05:45The Sabbath was about the glory of God, about rest, about contemplation.
05:50And Jesus is the one who leads us into contemplation, into prayer.
05:55We pray through him.
05:57He is the fullness of God's revelation.
06:00And it's not the technicalities that are the most important in the law of God, but the
06:06relationship, what is behind it, what it's all about.
06:11So we must never descend our faith to sets of rules and regulations.
06:16But indeed, they are important, but they are because of love.
06:20And it's love that really gives them meaning.
06:30Blessed are you, Lord God of all creation, for through your goodness we have this bread
06:34to offer, which earth has given, human hands have made, it will become for us the bread
06:39of life.
06:40Blessed be God forever.
06:58Blessed are you, Lord God of all creation, for through your goodness we have this wine
07:02to offer, fruit of divine work of human hands, it will become a spiritual drink.
07:09Blessed be God forever.
07:20Let us pray, brothers and sisters, that my sacrifice and yours may be acceptable to God,
07:25our Almighty Father.
07:27May the Lord accept this sacrifice at our hands, that we praise the glory of God's name
07:32for our good and the good of God's holy church.
07:36Look upon the offering of the Church of the Lord as she makes her prayer to you, and grant
07:41that when consumed by those who believe, they may bring ever greater holiness through Christ
07:46our Lord.
07:47Amen.
07:48The Lord be with you.
07:54Lift up your hearts.
07:57Let us give thanks to the Lord our God.
08:00It is truly right and just, our duty and our salvation, always and everywhere, to give
08:05you thanks, Father Most Holy, through your beloved Son, Jesus Christ, your Word through
08:11whom you made all things, whom you sent as our Saviour and Redeemer, incarnate by the
08:17Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin, fulfilling your will and gaining for you a holy people,
08:24stretched out his hands as he endured his passion, so as to break the bonds of death
08:30and manifest the resurrection.
08:32And so, with the angels and all the saints, we declare your glory, as with one voice
08:37we acclaim, Holy, Holy, Holy Lord God of hosts, heaven and earth are full of your glory, Hosanna
08:45in the highest.
08:46Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord, Hosanna in the highest.
08:58You are indeed holy, O Lord, the fount of all holiness.
09:03Make holy their bodies' gifts, we pray, by sending down your Spirit upon them like you
09:08did before, that they may become for us the body and blood of our Lord Jesus Christ.
09:14At the time he was betrayed and entered willingly into his passion, he took a breath, and giving
09:20thanks, broke it, and gave it to his disciples, saying, Take this, all of you, and eat of
09:28it, for this is my body, which will be given up for you.
09:38In a similar way, when supper was ended, he took the chalice, and once more giving thanks,
09:44he gave it to his disciples, saying, Take this, all of you, and drink from it, for this
09:49is the chalice of my blood, the blood of the new and eternal covenant, which will be
09:55poured out for you and for many for the forgiveness of sins.
10:00Do this in memory of me.
10:08The mystery of faith When we eat this bread and drink this cup,
10:13we proclaim your death, O Lord, until you come again.
10:19Therefore, as we celebrate the memorial of his death and resurrection, we offer you,
10:23Lord, the bread of life and the chalice of salvation, giving thanks that you have held
10:28us worthy to be in your presence and minister to you.
10:33Humbly we pray that, partaking of the body and blood of Christ, we may be gathered into
10:38one by the Holy Spirit.
10:40Remember, Lord, your Church, spread throughout the world, and bring her to the fullness of
10:44charity, together with Francis our Pope, me, your unworthy servant, Eugene, our Emeritus
10:50Bishop, and all the clergy.
10:53Remember also our brothers and sisters who have fallen asleep in the hope of the resurrection,
10:58and all who have died in your mercy.
11:01Welcome them into the light of your face.
11:04Have mercy on us all, we pray, that with the Blessed Virgin Mary, Mother of God, Blessed
11:09Joseph, Espoused, with the Blessed Apostles and all the Saints who have pleased you throughout
11:15the ages, we may, through your grace, merit to be coerced to eternal life, and may praise
11:21and glorify you through your Son, Jesus Christ.
11:28Through him, and with him, and in him, O God, Almighty Father, in the unity of the Holy
11:33Spirit, all glory and honor is yours for ever and ever.
11:38Amen.
11:41At the Saviour's command, and formed by divine teaching, we dare to say,
11:46Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name, thy kingdom come,
11:51thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven.
11:55Give us this day our daily bread.
11:57And forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us.
12:03And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.
12:08Deliver us, Lord, we pray, from every evil.
12:11Graciously grant peace in our days, that by the help of your mercy we may be always free
12:17from sin and safe from all distress, as we await the blessed hope and the coming of our
12:22Saviour, Jesus Christ.
12:24For the kingdom, the power, and the glory are yours, now and for ever.
12:29Lord Jesus Christ, who said to your apostles,
12:32Peace I leave you, my peace I give you.
12:34Look not on our sins, but on the faith of your Church, and graciously grant her peace
12:39and unity in accordance with your will, who live and reign for ever and ever.
12:43Amen.
12:44The peace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you always.
12:48Let us offer each other a sign of peace.
12:51Peace be with you all.
12:53Lamb of God, you take away the sins of the world.
12:57Have mercy on us.
12:59Lamb of God, you take away the sins of the world.
13:02Have mercy on us.
13:04Lamb of God, you take away the sins of the world.
13:07Grant us peace.
13:22Behold the Lamb of God who takes away the sins of the world.
13:25Happy are those who are called to the supper of the Lamb.
13:28Lord, I am not worthy that you should enter under my roof,
13:31but only say the word and my soul shall be healed.
13:36My Jesus, I believe that you are present in the most blessed sacrament.
13:41I love you above all things and I desire to receive you into my soul.
13:46Since I cannot now receive you sacramentally, come at least spiritually into my heart.
13:52I embrace you as if you were already there and unite myself wholly to you.
13:57Never permit me to be separated from you.
14:00Amen.
14:04Let us pray.
14:06Having consumed these gifts, we pray, O Lord, that by your participation this mystery,
14:12this saving effect grow upon us through Christ our Lord.
14:17Amen.
14:18The Lord be with you and may the peace and the blessing of the Father and of the Son
14:23and of the Holy Spirit come upon you and remain always with you.
14:26Let us go and live the gospel.
14:29Thanks be to God.
14:31God bless your day.
