00:00298 trees dot this memorial park outside Amsterdam. Each one represents a victim of the Malaysia
00:08Airlines flight MH17, shot down by a Russian missile 10 years ago.
00:14Global leaders and families of the dead are gathering here to mark the anniversary and
00:18remember those who lost their lives.
00:20I lost three of my kids and I'm 10 years further on in my life and they missed 10 years
00:29of their life. It's so unjustified for me that I'm still here and they are killed by
00:35a war accident.
00:37The flight was en route from Amsterdam to Kuala Lumpur on July 17, 2014, when it was
00:43shot down. All passengers and crew members died. The majority from the Netherlands, Malaysia
00:49and Australia.
00:51The crash landed here, in a small town in eastern Ukraine, where residents are also
00:57gathering with roses and toys to honour the dead.
01:01I'm sorry. It's painful. I feel sorry for the people. I feel sorry for the people.
01:12Justice has been a long road. After years of international investigations, a Dutch court
01:18found three people guilty. Two Russians and one pro-Russian Ukrainian separatist.
01:24But leaders around the world have accused a Kremlin of being behind the attack. Accusations
01:29Moscow has repeatedly denied. And to this day, no one has been held accountable.
01:36To mark the 10 years, commemoration ceremonies were held in the Netherlands, Australia, Malaysia
01:57and Ukraine, with leaders renewing calls for justice.
02:02Meanwhile, the families laying flowers and photos are still waiting for an acknowledgement
02:07of responsibility.
