Euro 2024: We hear from England fans who watched the final in Berlin, and here in the UK

Eager fans looking to soak up the atmosphere in Berlin did all they could, travelling by air, road and rail to make it to Germany for the match.

00:00So I am currently in Cologne I've just come back from Berlin and it's been an

00:06amazing experience as you can tell my voice has gone a little bit but we left

00:11really early in the morning from London we drove down to Calais and we got a

00:15train over where we drive onto a train the shuttle it's called it takes you to

00:19Calais and then we drove to Cologne here where we then got a train to Berlin the

00:26atmosphere was brilliant the Spanish fans in English fans mostly we're

00:29getting along really well all in all the atmosphere was amazing Berlin was a

00:33great city really accommodating to the fans and look the next day the mood was

00:40a bit deflated I would say but all in all it was absolutely incredible

00:45experience also supporting England in Berlin were Frankie and Jack who

00:49traveled from London everyone was in high spirits I don't think anyone had

00:53the massive expectation of us actually winning it right so he wasn't actually

00:57that great in a tournament no I did convince myself that we were gonna win

01:01though and I think yeah you've always gotta believe yeah and it would have

01:04been nice but it's still been a great weekend all in all yes it was short

01:13sharp expensive but great absolutely and while he may have stayed on home turf

01:22there was no shortage of high spirits and great atmosphere for Charles who

01:25watched from the pub it was it was quite an experience you know especially when

01:29that equalizer went in but yeah just the contrasting emotions I think from getting

01:36that equalizer to then Spain going going scoring the winner you know you feel the

01:41whole buzz you just feel so deflated I think everyone can relate it obviously

01:46didn't come up the right way for England fans but yeah the viewing experience is

01:50always a bit of fun and you know you've got to get excited as a football fan for

01:55when these major tournaments come around
