Negosyo Tayo | Fireworks and Special Effects Business
Transcript
00:00Let's get to know the new business for those who are looking for an engranding celebration here at Digosya Tayo.
00:10Hi, I'm Rugen Glenver Carino.
00:12What we do is we provide fireworks and special effects services for weddings, for concerts, and of course for private events.
00:30It started way back years ago, around 2017.
00:40But it started with just a hobby.
00:42So I had an interest with fireworks and lights and how it works since I was young.
00:48I just studied self-study.
00:50And I had the right people with me to teach me how it works.
00:54Well actually, I'm a licensed mechanical engineer by profession.
00:58Because of the technical know-how, somehow I get to understand mechanical, electrical, and design.
01:05So which I applied it from this kind of industry.
01:08Yes, I really studied.
01:10Of course, since we're dealing with fireworks, these are something that you cannot play around.
01:14At first, it was just a hobby.
01:16I had no intention to make a profit.
01:19Then eventually, it just got bigger.
01:21It became an official business.
01:23When clients started coming in, we were offering office services already.
01:27We expanded to different clientele.
01:31From private, to public, to bigger concerts.
01:35That's how the business grew.
01:37At start, I'm just doing private shows.
01:40For me, for our family, for our few friends.
01:43Actually, my big break was when I got the contract with big brands.
01:49If you're familiar with the first vertical fireworks show in the Philippines, we did that on EDSA.
01:54Just recently, we introduced special effects.
01:57Because we saw the potential that not all clients here in Metro Manila can do fireworks.
02:04Especially if we have hotels.
02:06So they want to do more of indoor.
02:09So as we all know, all businesses are not always peak.
02:13It's not always strong.
02:15There's always a challenge.
02:17And it's part of success.
02:19So that's where we adjust.
02:21What do we do?
02:22So we are tapping out different markets.
02:24From concerts, from big companies.
02:28Now we're tapping out personal, private events like weddings.
02:32Most of us, when we don't have a client, or sales are weak.
02:37We really get disappointed.
02:39But that's where we are being defined.
02:42So what do you do with what you have right now?
02:45So I hope that everyone will still find a way to make it work.
02:49Whenever we start a business, I hope that it will be close to our interest.
02:53So that even if it doesn't grow, even if it doesn't boom,
02:57you still have a drive to continue studying and developing it.
03:02One of my happiest moments is whenever our clients tell us,
03:06Hey, your fireworks are beautiful.
03:08Hey, your service is great.
03:09Hey, our husband's dream wedding is really fun.
03:13So for me, that's what gives us a happy return.
03:19To our fellow countrymen who want to start a business,
03:23first of all, you just have to have a strong heart.
03:25So now, we're in an era wherein everyone can start a business.
03:29Our government helps us to start doing business.
03:32So don't hesitate, study, just do it.
03:36And ask for advice from people who are good in the industry you want to enter.
03:40Surely, you will have a chance to grow your business.
03:43Just start it.
03:44Fellow countrymen, if you want your life to grow,
03:47don't hesitate, just start the business you want.
03:50So come on, let's start a business.
