00:00Lorenzo, you're in the semi-finals at Wimbledon, how are you feeling?
00:07I mean, probably didn't realise yet everything and really surrounded by really good emotions
00:19and really, really happy of what I've achieved today and really happy on the way I fought until the end
00:29and I found a way to develop my game set after set and it was really a big reaction for me on the 5th
00:40where I probably played my best tennis on this week.
00:45Elena?
00:46Lorenzo, Elena Crooks Press Association, you've lost some really tough ones at Grand Slams,
00:51I just wonder how much of those experiences helped you and how much do you think today will help you in the semi-final?
01:00Yeah, I mean, I've had many tough losses, especially of course the best results before this week were made in French Open
01:14and especially also with Nole two times in the 5th, one time with Stefanos in the 5th,
01:22huge loss against Carlos where I didn't even play my tennis,
01:28so I think I made, of course, a step forward in the maturity and the experience,
01:36you know, probably that loss with all the champions made me think, made me work harder
01:46and the win of today probably is the result and I think I can have a chance with Nole in the next round.
01:57Rob?
01:58Lorenzo, can I take you back to that match at Roland Garros with Novak,
02:02the ridiculous nature of going to two, three in the morning and are you quite glad there is a curfew here?
02:08Yeah, I mean, before in the mixed zone I was joking about not finishing again at 3am,
02:16but jokes apart, I mean, it was such a nice match, I had my chances,
02:23I didn't probably take the chances that I got, especially on the 4th where I was leading the 3rd and the 2nd,
02:37so I think I analysed really well that match and the key moments where I could do better
02:49and I put myself in that position, so I think in the past weeks, starting from Stuttgart,
02:59I started to feel more continuous on that, on the attitude and even today I have to, you know,
03:08thank myself for the attitude that I had, especially losing the first set really,
03:13not in a positive way where I didn't feel myself really well, I didn't feel the ball, I was a little bit nervous
03:22and then immediately with a positive attitude I changed all my mindset and also the feeling with the ball was better,
03:32so that's probably what I have to do in the next round also.
03:35Matt?
03:36Congratulations.
03:38Thanks.
03:39You played with a terrific amount of variety in your game today
03:45and I wanted to ask you if that's something you've been focusing on developing over the past year
03:51and is that something that has made you more comfortable on grass,
03:56the ability to use that and made you understand how to play on this surface?
04:00That's probably something that I say I found it more, how can I say, like, worse for the other guys,
04:13you know, to be having not each shot the same, especially like with a good baseliner like Taylor,
04:24if you play like every time flat, I cannot win a point, I mean, I'm playing his game,
04:30so probably he was the strategy to, you know, to try to mix every ball and try to lead the game
04:39because a certain point of the match I felt that from the baseline I could, let's say, win every point
04:47because he was, let's say, not in a good position with all my variations,
04:53so it's certainly something that I'm really working on it, but since I was a kid I always made,
05:03I always didn't like to do the same stuff on the court, not to be, let's say, monotonic on the court,
05:14so probably it's a big help on grass and I'm using pretty well this week.
05:20How would you describe what it's like to play against Djokovic
05:25and what your thoughts are on his place in the history of the sport?
05:31Of course, I played him many times in different stages, even big ones,
05:40like, of course, two times in French Open, I beat him one time in Monte Carlo,
05:50then I lost all the others, but I have to say with Nole I always found it,
05:56after the match I always finish with a lesson and, of course, the last match was really an intense match
06:05from both players and really stressful match, so what I have to say,
06:14against him you are probably more stressed because he's probably the best player ever
06:23or one of the best players ever and you will concur with a different mentality,
06:31but, as I said before, I think if I play in a certain way I could have my shot in the next round.
06:48It's not every day that we see Queen Camilla swapping from centre court to go to number one court
06:53and doing the Mexican wave for you, I just wonder what your thoughts are on that
06:58and also if you can reflect about the semi-final as well and, you know,
07:02it's not every day you reach that stage of Wimbledon and what it means to you.
07:06Honestly, I didn't know about that because it was so crowded that I couldn't see, not even my friends,
07:14so I'm really glad that she was there, I didn't have the opportunity to meet her
07:22and it would be an honour for me, you know, to be playing in front of such a big person as her
07:31and, of course, for me it's a kind of magic day for me, probably one of the, after, I have to say,
07:42the birth of my son I will put in the second position today for my career.
07:50Of course, for my career it's the best day of my life.
