00:00What's up everyone, I recorded this video on Wednesday, October 13th, 2021.
00:12It's 519pm, 68 Fahrenheit, 20 degrees Celsius.
00:18I'm in the Hudson Yards neighborhood, and I'm here because there is a flower exhibit
00:26inside the shopping mall at 30 Hudson Yards.
00:31It's called the Fleur de Ville, and this is the second year that they're having it here.
00:37The last time it was in 2019, and it's supposed to celebrate women's fashion as well as give
00:45more awareness to breast cancer.
00:49So we're going to go and check it out.
00:53It opened on October 9th, and it will run until October 17th.
01:03So Hudson Yards is New York City's newest neighborhood.
01:14Also a ridiculously large sum of money was put in to build this neighborhood.
01:24Still more than half of it needs to be finished.
01:30Just the eastern part is done, but it's hard to imagine that this place will get larger
01:40than it already is.
01:57All right, so the flower exhibit is inside this shopping mall.
02:04This is also where you can go up to the Edge Observation Deck.
02:11It's well worth going to if you haven't gone already.
02:25It's good to see that this area has some people around, because when this real estate development
02:32opened up, it was very quiet at first, but it's turned into something worth visiting
02:40now.
02:41This structure here is the vessel at Hudson Yards, but it is closed permanently due to
02:48a few people who took their lives here and jumped off.
02:53I don't know what's going to happen to the future of this structure, the vessel.
02:57I have heard that they might be dismantling it, but who knows.
03:12All right, let's go in and we'll check out this exhibit, the Fleur de Ville.
03:30All right, I heard that this exhibit just encompasses the first floor, the ground level.
03:49All right, so here we are.
03:52We've got some information, Fleur de Ville's rose, or rose, I don't know how to say that
03:59with the apostrophe, the accent mark on the end.
04:06Collection of over 20 stunning floral mannequins and unique installations.
04:11All right, let's take a look at some of these.
04:18All right.
04:25These mannequins are absolutely gorgeous.
04:29This is called the bridal mannequin.
04:36And they did a good job with this.
04:40Everything from the dress to the head to the wings, all different types of flowers, leaves,
04:48and plants.
04:51I'm sure the rest of the mannequins will be equally as spectacular, if not even more spectacular.
05:03Okay, this one, this mannequin represents a garden of ideas and is steeped in thoughts
05:23of bringing best cancer to his niece.
05:38It's super cool.
05:46Actually I'm going to see what other mannequins are around here.
06:03This one, there's a lot of roses.
06:06This one is the miyabi mannequin created by yours truly flowers.
06:26Also it smells really nice in here.
06:30I love the smell of roses.
06:32I'd rather be smelling roses than pollution and bad air.
06:44The Rolex store also has orchids in the window, but I doubt that's part of the exhibition.
07:03This one is called the Hendrix Gin Mannequin.
07:20Beautiful stunning display of red roses.
07:28Looks like the exhibit goes all the way down this hallway and Louis Vuitton is going to
07:36be opening a location here in January 2022.
07:41All right, this side doesn't have any mannequins.
07:54Also you can vote on your favorite mannequin to win a chance at a $500 Hudson Yards gift
08:00card.
08:01If you scan the QR code, if you don't have time to come, you can still vote in the poll
08:13and get a chance to win a gift card.
08:16This one is very neat.
08:17I love the pink texture.
08:22The bottom half kind of looks like some kind of fruit leaf.
08:28It's very sweet and fragrant.
08:37This is called the Pixie Primrose Mannequin.
08:53This one, I'm not really too sure.
09:18Of the flowers I mean.
09:22I thought this at first was an Amaryllis, but I'm not really too sure.
09:35It's the Valentia Mannequin created by the Raven Hollow Guild.
09:41Okay, Sedum, Celosia, Hydrangea, and Amaranthus.
10:11This one's exotic looking.
10:30Kind of reminds me of like a Hawaiian dancer or somewhere from the Polynesian Islands,
10:37Pacific Islands.
10:40Oh, the Dutch Style Mannequin.
10:43I guess the Netherlands is far away from the Pacific Islands, but still looks very good.
11:10This one over here looks like a ballerina dancer.
11:15No question about it.
11:17In fact, the name is the Ballerina Mannequin.
11:39Wow, this one looks like a dancer from Africa or maybe South America.
12:04Looks like an angel to be honest.
12:09The Warrior Mannequin.
12:14Hmm.
12:18Kind of looks like a warrior.
12:35I see the hydrangeas on the bottom too.
12:41Let's check out the rest.
12:45This hallway here, it smells so nice.
12:49I'm not sure if it's the new car smell from the Genesis Studio, or if it's this arrangement here.
12:57The breast cancer.
12:59I'm not sure if it's the new car smell from the Genesis Studio, or if it's this arrangement here.
13:10Yeah, it's coming from the breast cancer ribbon.
13:13There's so many fresh roses here.
13:40Guys, there's a workshop here if you want to stop by on level 4.
13:47I don't know when the scheduling is.
13:51Let's see what's over here.
14:00This reminds me of a flapper dancer.
14:06Let's see what's over here.
14:15This reminds me of a flapper dancer.
14:22Back in, I think it was the 40s, maybe earlier in American history where this is more prevalent.
14:35The Kendra Scott mannequin.
14:39I love the attention to detail too, even the shoes.
15:08Looks like we actually went the right direction to see these mannequins, because as I'm walking down this hallway, they're all facing towards me.
15:17This one is the Victoria Denise mannequin.
15:23There's a famous flower show that happens every year in the spring from Macy's.
15:29I have to say that this flower exhibit here is one of my favorite.
15:35It's a beautiful flower.
15:37It's a beautiful flower.
15:39It's a beautiful flower.
15:41It's a beautiful flower.
15:43There's a famous flower show that happens every year in the spring from Macy's.
15:50I have to say that this flower exhibit here gives that one some competition.
16:14Huh.
16:17Trying to think what this mannequin reminds me of.
16:28Glenn Fittich mannequin and stag.
16:43This one's very fashionable.
17:12Very fashionable.
17:13Looks modern.
17:22It's the Jock Cho mannequin created by Polly Clark Flowers, named after people in the florist's life who have fought and survived breast cancer.
17:46I think every single one of these flower exhibits have showcased roses in one form or another.
18:03This one is the Moment is Ours mannequin created by the Rose Box NYC.
18:16You know, this isn't the first time that Hudson Yards has impressed me with an art installation or decorations.
18:24What really impressed me during the last year in 2020 was their December and November decorations for the holidays.
18:35It was really magical.
18:39I have to give Hudson Yards credit.
18:41They really know how to decorate well and throw on some nice events.
18:56The Piaget door frame is decorated in roses as well.
19:13Wow, there's actually a rare used Piaget rose.
19:24I wonder if that's it, a Piaget rose.
19:29And this might be the last one.
19:42This is the Miss Lily of Manhattan mannequin.
20:08Alright, I think that's all the installations here on the ground floor, with the exception of these flower pots.
20:19We'll go check this out.
20:24Van Cleef & Arpels.
20:35We've got the pots in front of Todd's.
20:42Oh, there's one rose in here. I was going to say there's no roses in this one.
20:57Oh, I forgot to show the other one over here.
21:06This one is the, it's just called the Floral Doorway, created by Pick and Petal Photography and Floral Design.
21:21Alright, like I said, Hudson Yards really knows how to put on a show when it needs to.
21:29And I'll be ending my video here.
21:32If you want to come check this out in person, the last day this is going to be on is October 17th, 2021.
