00:00In the name of Allah, the most Beneficent, the most Merciful.
00:12Respected viewers, peace and blessings of Allah be upon you.
00:14I am your host, Muhammad Raees Ahmed.
00:16And we are presenting a special program,
00:18a darshan of Hazrat Sayyidina Umar Farooq, may Allah be pleased with him.
00:22And the next topic is Islam and youth,
00:24in which youth have also been invited here.
00:27And the biography of Sayyidina Umar Farooq, may Allah be pleased with him, is being narrated.
00:31Like in all creatures, in all humans,
00:34the community of the Prophets is the most respected and respected community.
00:40In the same community of the Prophets,
00:42the most respected personality,
00:44the Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him,
00:47is being mentioned as the chosen companion of the chosen Prophet.
00:51And the chosen personality among the companions,
00:53the chosen personality, the Prophet, may Allah be pleased with him,
00:58is our topic today.
01:00When you accept Islam, the word 40 is completed.
01:03Before you, the biographers have written that
01:0649 people had accepted Islam.
01:09When you accepted Islam,
01:1140 people entered Islam.
01:15In this respect, here too,
01:17In the previous chapters,
01:19in this respect too,
01:21you have the distinction and distinction.
01:23Sayyidina Umar Farooq, may Allah be pleased with him,
01:25where the Prophet is meant,
01:27after that, when we see the changes in his life,
01:31Allah Akbar, Allah Akbar.
01:33In the obedience of the Prophet,
01:35in his obedience,
01:37he was busy and busy all the time.
01:39And for the victory of Islam,
01:41your efforts and efforts continued all the time.
01:43When you migrated from here,
01:47you heard from the scholars
01:49how magnificently you migrated.
01:52People saw that when you circumambulated,
01:56at that time too, people were seeing you,
01:58the people of Mecca.
01:59Now Umar is circumambulating and is preparing to go.
02:01And he is going after making a formal announcement that I am going.
02:05And the words with him are also part of the books of history.
02:09Today, God willing, we will talk about them.
02:11Once again, we have with us today,
02:13Mumtaz Al-Mideen, Allama Mufti Khurram Iqbal.
02:15Mr. Rahmani, peace and blessings of Allah be upon you.
02:17Peace and blessings of Allah be upon you.
02:19And on my left,
02:21we have the youth of the country,
02:23who, God willing, also have a passion for religious knowledge.
02:26They also have a desire to learn,
02:29and their efforts bring them here.
02:32So that they can see the program in this regard,
02:35and along with the program,
02:37listen to the speech,
02:38and raise their questions from it.
02:40Peace and blessings of Allah be upon you.
02:42Peace and blessings of Allah be upon you.
02:43So, I would like to request Allama Mufti Khurram Iqbal Rahmani,
02:46to say a few words on the life of Sayyidina Farooq-e-Azam, may Allah be pleased with him.
02:50In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Ever Merciful.
02:52And peace and blessings of Allah be upon His Messenger,
02:54the Most Generous, the Ever Merciful.
02:55Thank you very much, Mr. Rahmani.
02:57And it is a matter of great joy that,
02:59at this time, the youth of this Ummah,
03:01and with great love,
03:03are present to listen to the speech of their leaders.
03:05Without a doubt.
03:06And when efforts are being made from all sides,
03:10to break the relationship of the Ummah with the Akabirs,
03:13to distance them from the elders,
03:15at that time, this platform,
03:17and this certified platform,
03:19which was given to them,
03:21to sit here,
03:22instead of learning through social media,
03:25to learn directly from the Ulama,
03:28and to reach them with certified information.
03:30Then the questions that are in their minds,
03:32their answers should also reach them through certified Ulama.
03:35This is a very good method.
03:36This increases the interaction.
03:38And in reality,
03:39this is the fundamental method and method of acquiring knowledge.
03:42That is, the Sunnah of the companions,
03:44may Allah be pleased with them,
03:45is that,
03:46where did the companions go to learn the religion?
03:48They went to the court of the Messenger of Allah.
03:50That is, the Holy Qur'an was revealed in Arabic.
03:53Which language did the companions speak?
03:55They spoke Arabic.
03:57But no companion said,
03:59O Messenger of Allah,
04:01because the Qur'an is in Arabic,
04:02and we also speak Arabic,
04:03we have understood.
04:04We do not need to learn it.
04:06Rather, the companions used to learn the recitation of the Qur'an
04:09in the court of the Beloved Prophet.
04:11And they used to learn the teaching of the Qur'an
04:13and the commentary of the Qur'an.
04:15So that they listen to it,
04:17not only recite it,
04:19but after understanding it,
04:21they should also try to act in the right way.
04:25The personality of Syedna Umar Farooq, may Allah be pleased with him,
04:28his acceptance of Islam
04:30also has a very deep connection with the Qur'an.
04:32That is, when the Beloved of Allah, may Allah be pleased with him,
04:34asked for prayers for his acceptance of Islam,
04:36then the incident of acceptance of Islam
04:38that is found in the books of biography,
04:40is that he wanted
04:42that the Holy Prophet, may Allah be pleased with him,
04:44should be martyred.
04:46Because he thought that
04:48neither the Messenger of Islam will remain,
04:49nor will Islam remain after him.
04:50But Allah, may Allah be pleased with him,
04:52had some other desire and purpose.
04:54The intention with which he was going,
04:56that intention was not fulfilled.
04:57He went to his sister's house,
04:58where he heard the recitation of the Qur'an.
05:00After listening to the recitation of the Qur'an,
05:02his heart changed.
05:03That is, Allah has put this effect in the Qur'an
05:06that whoever listens to the Qur'an,
05:08this Qur'an brings him from falsehood to truth.
05:11This Qur'an makes the way for his truth easier.
05:15And then the same Syedna Umar Farooq, may Allah be pleased with him,
05:18who a few moments ago,
05:20had left with the intention of martyring the Prophet, may Allah be pleased with him.
05:24Now his condition is that
05:26he is anxious to bring faith in the Prophet, may Allah be pleased with him.
05:29And he says,
05:30that somehow bring me to him,
05:32to Muhammad, may Allah be pleased with him.
05:35And when he reached the Prophet,
05:37his condition was such that everyone was anxious.
05:40Because Hazrat Umar Farooq was famous for his enmity
05:43for Islam, the Prophet of Islam and Muslims.
05:46The feeling of enmity in his heart was very famous.
05:49So when he reached Dar-e-Arqam,
05:51everyone was a little anxious that Umar has come,
05:53I don't know what will happen.
05:54But Hazrat Amir Hamza, may Allah be pleased with him,
05:56who is the lion of Allah and the Messenger of Allah,
05:58Asadullah, Wasud and Rasulullah.
06:00He said, let him come.
06:02I am present here.
06:03If he has come with a good intention, then it is a very good thing.
06:05If he has come with a bad intention,
06:07then his condition will also not be good.
06:09But the condition of Hazrat Umar Farooq had changed.
06:12Now he had come to keep his head at the feet of the Prophet, may Allah be pleased with him.
06:15He had come for the acceptance of Islam.
06:17So when he reached the court of the Prophet,
06:19he brought faith in the Beloved Prophet, may Allah be pleased with him.
06:22Now the training that the Prophet has given him,
06:24Look at the essence of that training,
06:26that we see everywhere,
06:28Sayyiduna Umar Farooq, may Allah be pleased with him,
06:30with a best Sahabi,
06:32a best Qari,
06:34a best Muhaddith,
06:36a best Munsif,
06:38a best Qazi,
06:40a best Ghazi,
06:42a best Muntazim.
06:44That is,
06:46in whichever field of life
06:48Sayyiduna Umar Farooq has taken a step,
06:50there are excellent people.
06:52And in fact,
06:54along with his own abilities,
06:56it was also a blessing of the Prophet's gaze.
06:59It was a blessing of the Prophet's company.
07:01It was a blessing of the light of the Qur'an
07:03that it changed Sayyiduna Umar Farooq's personality so much.
07:06There is also a time when the Beloved Prophet, may Allah be pleased with him, said,
07:11It is the Hadith of the Master,
07:13Sayyiduna Umar Farooq said,
07:21There is a narration in Bukhari Sharif,
07:23He said,
07:35Now Sayyiduna Umar Farooq's courage
07:37and bravery were very famous.
07:39That is, the rest of the companions who could not speak,
07:41Sayyiduna Umar Farooq used to do that too.
07:43He said,
07:51But more than his own life,
07:53he is telling his reality.
07:55That is, he is telling his true feelings.
07:57He is not saying that I love you the most.
07:59He is a hypocrite.
08:01He is telling the truth that I love you the most.
08:04But when I look at my heart,
08:06I see more love for myself
08:08than your love.
08:10So the master said,
08:17Now Sayyiduna Umar Farooq, may Allah be pleased with him,
08:20He has paused for a moment.
08:22It is not that he immediately said,
08:24No, no, I love you more.
08:26No, but the emotion in the heart was on the tongue.
08:28This is the glory of Sayyiduna Umar Farooq.
08:30The feelings in the heart are on the tongue.
08:33There is no change in it.
08:35Then after a few moments,
08:37he came to the court of the Beloved Prophet.
08:39He said, O Messenger of Allah,
08:41Now this is the state of Umar.
08:43Now the state of Umar's heart is that
08:45if there is someone in this heart who is the most beloved,
08:47then O Messenger of Allah,
08:49he is in the form of you.
08:51Now I love you more than myself.
08:53The Prophet said,
08:55Now your faith has been completed.
08:57This is a moment for us.
08:59It is a moment of contemplation.
09:01That Sayyiduna Umar Farooq, may Allah be pleased with him,
09:03like a righteous and pious
09:05and the most just of the companions,
09:07the Prophet said,
09:09As long as there is no love for the Prophet,
09:11then the faith is complete.
09:13So today's Muslims will also have to
09:15pay attention to this.
09:17Not just the claim of love,
09:19but the practical example of love
09:21will have to be shown.
09:23And what is the practical example of love?
09:25It can be seen in the biography of Sayyiduna Umar Farooq.
09:27Whatever the government said,
09:29Hazrat Umar Farooq did it.
09:31Whom did the Prophet forbid?
09:33Umar Farooq did not do that.
09:35Umar Farooq acted on the command of the Prophet
09:37all his life.
09:39He never disobeyed him.
09:41Sayyiduna Umar Farooq, may Allah be pleased with him,
09:43was a supporter of Islam
09:45in the life of the Prophet.
09:47But after the appearance of the Prophet,
09:49Sayyiduna Siddiq Akbar,
09:51he was also a supporter
09:53and advisor of the Prophet.
09:55And he supported him
09:57at every moment.
09:59And then when it comes to
10:01the time of your own Khilafat,
10:03whatever training you got from the Prophet,
10:05now the practical example of that training is being shown.
10:07Today we are studying management sciences.
10:09Despite studying management sciences,
10:11we do not see that arrangement
10:13in the states,
10:15which should be there.
10:17But Umar Farooq, may Allah be pleased with him,
10:19which university did he study from?
10:21Which management science course did you do?
10:23Whatever you learned,
10:25you learned from the Prophet.
10:27It was the blessing of the companionship of the Prophet
10:29that Umar Farooq,
10:31as a ruler, has been given to the Ummah.
10:33And then the role you have played
10:35in your time as a ruler,
10:37it is such a good profession
10:39that even today,
10:41if an example is presented about good management,
10:43then the example of Umar Farooq's
10:45time as a ruler is presented.
10:47Umar Farooq did a lot of such things
10:49in his time as a ruler,
10:51which no ruler did before him.
10:53Rather, for those who came later,
10:55he became a model.
10:57And today, even in the modern world,
10:59we follow the system
11:01that Syed Umar Farooq
11:03used to follow.
11:05So your personality,
11:07your personal abilities,
11:09along with that,
11:11the training of the Prophet,
11:13when these two things are combined,
11:15then Allah,
11:17may Allah be pleased with him,
11:19has given Umar Farooq
11:21such a position among the companions of the Prophet
11:23that not only Muslims
11:25are proud of it,
11:27but even if they are not Muslims,
11:29if they have to take light from somewhere
11:31in matters of management,
11:33then they should look at Syed Umar Farooq's side.
11:35Wow, Subhanallah, Subhanallah.
11:37What to say.
11:39The great personality of Syedna Umar Farooq
11:41is being presented as the expatriate of love.
11:43And scholars are coming.
11:45So different scholars,
11:47in the light of their own research,
11:49the second Khalifa,
11:51Syedna Umar Farooq,
11:53is being presented as the expatriate of love.
11:55Young people are present with us.
11:57I don't know what questions
11:59they are asking in their minds
12:01after listening to the statement.
12:03In the name of Allah.
12:05Peace be upon you.
12:07My name is Muhammad Hassan.
12:09My question to you is
12:11why is Umar Farooq called
12:13the Muhaddis-e-Ummah?
12:15The glory of Syedna Umar Farooq
12:17may Allah be pleased with him,
12:19the Muhaddis-e-Ummah,
12:21the Prophet himself
12:23has stated.
12:25It still happens that
12:27we are in an institute or an institution
12:29like you are studying.
12:31There are some qualities of a student
12:33which he himself does not know.
12:35But the teacher observes
12:37with his own eyes
12:39that this child has these qualities.
12:41My student has more of these qualities.
12:43When the Prophet
12:45used to train his companions,
12:47he used to keep an eye on them.
12:49And the qualities
12:51of the companions
12:53the Prophet used to express
12:55so that the companions
12:57could play a good role in that field.
12:59The title of a Muhaddis
13:01is that there is a Muhaddis
13:03in every Ummah.
13:05The Muhaddis of my Ummah
13:07is Umar Farooq.
13:09The companions asked
13:11who is a Muhaddis?
13:13The term Muhaddis in our time
13:15is for those religious scholars
13:17who have a lot of expertise
13:19and they are called Muhaddis.
13:21But the term Muhaddis
13:23for Sayyiduna Umar Farooq
13:25was not used in this context
13:27that he is an expert in Hadith.
13:29In fact, the companions asked
13:31who is a Muhaddis?
13:33The Prophet said
13:35the one whose heart is so pure
13:37and transparent
13:39and on whom
13:41the doors of God's knowledge
13:43have opened so much
13:45that God Almighty
13:47gives revelations.
13:49So he gives revelations.
13:51He gives revelations
13:53that a common man does not do.
13:55So from the side of God
13:57those things come to his heart
13:59and he says those words.
14:01So that is why you are called a Muhaddis.
14:03And we see your glory
14:05like we had discussed
14:07in a previous program
14:09that you would give an opinion
14:11about a matter
14:13and then Allah would reveal
14:15that matter to you.
14:17For example,
14:19the famous Maqam-e-Ibraheem
14:21in Baitullah Sharif
14:23where Ibrahim
14:25had built Baitullah Sharif.
14:27So when you went there
14:29you said to the Prophet
14:31why don't we make
14:33Maqam-e-Ibraheem as a mosque
14:35so that we can pray here.
14:37So with the Prophet of Allah
14:39and with Ibrahim
14:41we will be able to express
14:43So Allah Almighty
14:45liked this opinion of yours.
14:47And in the Holy Quran
14:49there is a blessed verse
14:51that you should make Maqam-e-Ibraheem
14:53as your Mosque.
14:55So this is the glory of being a Muhaddis
14:57that in many matters
14:59you have given such an opinion
15:01that a common man cannot give.
15:03So it is a matter of revelation.
15:05For the second question
15:07we will go to the youth.
15:09Peace be upon you.
15:11My name is Burhan Khan.
15:13I have a question for you.
15:15How did Hazrat Umar
15:17start the Hijri calendar?
15:19Very good question.
15:21We should definitely remember
15:23our history.
15:25Before the time of
15:27Sayyiduna Umar-e-Farooq
15:29there was a custom in the Arabs
15:31that they used to connect
15:33history with a famous event.
15:35Like the incident of Ashab-e-Feel
15:37when Abraha brought the elephants
15:39to attack Mecca.
15:41So they used to connect
15:43that year with Ashab-e-Feel.
15:45So if there was a real event
15:47they used to connect the year with it.
15:49But there was no regular
15:51arrangement for writing the dates.
15:53But when Sayyiduna Umar-e-Farooq
15:55became the ruler,
15:57he had the ability to arrange
15:59the dates.
16:01Once a letter came to him
16:03from Abu Musa Ash'ari
16:05that O Ameer-ul-Mu'mineen
16:07if you put a number in it
16:09it will be easier to keep a record
16:11of which date the letter was written,
16:13which date it was sent,
16:15which date it reached,
16:17which date it was replied to.
16:19So he liked it very much.
16:21So he called the Mujahidin
16:23and asked them to start
16:25the Islamic calendar.
16:27So when should the calendar
16:29start?
16:31Umar-e-Farooq's pride was that
16:33he didn't make decisions alone
16:35he used to have meetings.
16:37Then there was a collective decision.
16:39So when he asked for advice
16:41the companions gave different advices.
16:43And this came later
16:45to all the companions that
16:47the Islamic calendar should
16:49start with the event of Hijrat.
16:51Because the event of Hijrat
16:53is the event of the progress of Islam.
16:55When Huzoor migrated,
16:57the Muslims got Masjid-e-Nabwi.
16:59Then there were battles.
17:01Muslims got conquests.
17:03The majority of Masjid-e-Nabwi
17:05came after the event of Hijrat.
17:09So the event of Hijrat is
17:11the event of the progress of Islam.
17:13So the Islamic calendar should
17:15start with the event of Hijrat.
17:17So when should the calendar
17:19start?
17:21The Arabs had a tradition
17:23that Muharram was the first month
17:25of the year.
17:27So they said that Muharram should
17:29be the first month of the year
17:31that Huzoor migrated to Madinah.
17:33So the Islamic calendar should
17:35start from that year.
17:37Let's have one more question.
17:39Peace be upon you.
17:41Peace be upon you too.
17:43My name is Muhammad Ali.
17:45I have a question for you.
17:47Regarding the population of cities,
17:49the name of Hazrat Umar is
17:51taken with special care.
17:53What is the reason for this?
17:55This is a very beautiful question.
17:57In reality, he was one of the
17:59leaders of the Ummah.
18:01But Umar did not think of this.
18:03Even now, when we see town planning,
18:05when a settlement is built,
18:07there is a specific number of houses
18:09that we have to give a residence
18:11to so many people.
18:13On that basis, gas connection,
18:15water connection, sewage lines
18:17are laid.
18:19Now if more load is put there,
18:21then what will happen?
18:23The drinking water will not be affected.
18:25The necessities of life will be
18:27taken care of.
18:29Umar was one of the first rulers
18:31in the history of Islam
18:33who did not expand the existing cities.
18:35In fact, he said that we should
18:37build a new city with all the
18:39necessities.
18:41So, Sayyiduna Umar-e-Farooq,
18:43may Allah be pleased with him,
18:45Kufa, Basra, Mosul,
18:47these are the cities that
18:49Sayyiduna Umar-e-Farooq
18:51has built.
18:53That is, those cities were not
18:55that the whole settlement
18:57like societies,
18:59its center used to be a mosque.
19:01So that wherever a person
19:03passes through the street,
19:05he reaches Allah's house.
19:07Then the houses that are built,
19:09regarding those houses,
19:11he said that the height of each
19:13house should be the same.
19:15The distance between two houses
19:17in the streets should be this much.
19:19So there are houses in front of each other.
19:21He said that the distance should be
19:2315 feet.
19:25That is, there are houses in front of each other.
19:27So 15 feet wide streets should be there.
19:29Umar-e-Farooq had stated in that time
19:3115 feet wide streets.
19:33And then the main roads
19:35from which all these signs are getting,
19:37should be at least 100 feet wide.
19:39And then the main highways,
19:41that is, the roads connecting to other cities,
19:43should be 200 feet wide
19:45so that big caravans can easily
19:47pass over it.
19:49Then when Sayyiduna Umar-e-Farooq
19:51built these cities,
19:53the road between these cities,
19:55he built regular guest houses
19:57which were not built before.
19:59Similarly, when mosques were built,
20:01there was a parking area in it.
20:03In those days, what was the parking?
20:05Horses and camels.
20:07So he built a parking area with the mosques
20:09so that if someone came to offer prayers
20:11on a horse, he could tie his horse here.
20:13So this was the town planning of Sayyiduna Umar-e-Farooq.
20:15Today, Mufti Sahib has said a lot
20:17about the beginnings of Umar.
20:19In his Khulafa,
20:21the way he mentioned the biography
20:23of Sayyiduna Umar-e-Farooq and his personality
20:25and his conquests,
20:27in a long way,
20:29he has tied the beginning of Umar.
20:31And there are many beautiful things
20:33under that chapter.
20:35He has explained in great detail.
20:37Anyway, today we have tried
20:39to give you some aspects
20:41of the biography of Sayyiduna Umar-e-Farooq.
20:43And we have also discussed
20:45the beginnings of Umar-e-Farooq
20:47I am thankful to Allah Mufti Khurram Iqbal Rahmani
