00:09One of Europe's most active volcanoes, Etna, began erupting on Tuesday, sending lava flowing
00:15down the cone on the Italian island of Sicily.
00:19Flights resumed at around 3pm local time, although some restrictions in services remained

00:28The mayor of Catania issued an order on Friday banning two-wheeled vehicles for 48 hours
00:33and restricting the speed limit to 30 km an hour due to the amount of ash falling on the
00:39city.
00:40The eruption prompted Italy's civil protection agency to raise its alert level for the area
00:45from green to yellow.
00:48Meanwhile, on the nearby island of Stromboli, the civil protection agency issued its top
00:54red alert, warning the situation there could deteriorate.
00:58The volcano also started erupting earlier this week, sending ash clouds two kilometers
01:03into the sky and spilling lava into the sea.
