00:00Well, lots of things we can do to keep our gardens healthy and happy during these hot weather conditions.
00:08One might be to break up the soil in the borders and keep on adding compost.
00:13So that's going to help water penetration get into your plants and down to the roots
00:18and also help you carry on maintaining and weeding those borders.
00:24Avoid doing little and often watering.
00:28So we want to be doing kind of irregular big drenches of the garden.
00:33So once a week, if you stick on the sprinkler for about half an hour or so,
00:37that's going to really make sure that all the water is kind of getting down to where it needs to be in the soil.
00:42So if people were thinking, oh, my God, where do I start?
00:46What would you suggest? What would you say is the first protocol?
00:50First of all, if it's I mean, if it's really bad, then we want to try and get the garden kind of access good.
00:56So wherever you enter the garden initially, I'd suggest starting there.
