Visiting the most iconic Gavin and Stacey locations

Join us on a tour of Barry Island as we take a look at all the iconic locations from Gavin and Stacey, including Gwen’s house, Nessa’s slots and Pam and Mick’s in Billericay (but it’s not really!).

00:00Gavin and Stacey is beyond iconic. The characters, the heartache, the hilarious moments but possibly

00:09most iconic of all is here in Barry Island. The show wouldn't be the same without this

00:14incredible location and people across the world now know what Barry Island is and it's

00:19turned into place into a kind of pilgrimage for so many fans of the show.

00:23We've got Ness' Slots here behind me. It's one of the most famous locations on the show

00:28and gave us the times that Ness and Bryn practiced a song Something Stupid together.

00:34Or you've got when Gavin, Stacey, Nessa and Smithy sat here as the camera panned away

00:39over the sea as the original series came to an end. There are so many different iconic

00:43locations but so many more outside of Barry Island that made the show so unforgettable.

00:51And just a short drive away from the island we get to some of the most well-known houses

00:55from the TV show. Here behind me of course we've got Gwen's house where way too much

00:58happened to even begin to talk about the best moments. But you can just see how important

01:03the show is as it's still decked out with plenty of Gavin and Stacey posters and things

01:07to show visitors. And of course just across the other side of the street we have Bryn's

01:12house but I'm not too sure if he's still got his gym in the upstairs bedroom anymore.

01:17And then we take the long old drive all the way down the M4 to get here in Billericay.

01:22But it isn't really, it's actually not too far from Barry, just a quarter of an hour's

01:25drive in Dinas Powys. It doesn't have the same posters up telling you all about the

01:29show so I can't be sure if there is forthcoming with visitors. You do have to remember Gwen's

01:34house in Barry and Pam and Mick's house here in Billericay are people's homes so as much

01:39as they might be comfortable with passers-by it's important to respect their privacy.

01:44There are so many more iconic places we could have seen from Dave Coach's caravan to all

01:49the locations around the centre of Cardiff where they filmed Nights Out. Every single

01:54location a single piece of Gavin and Stacey's amazing jigsaw.
