00:00Friendly Triple 2. Oh, Theodore, likes to do the things that friendly triples do.
00:30Yeah. Come here, I'll show you. Come with me.
00:33You see, if you were to go straight out here, right out the harbor, for miles and miles,
00:39you'd bump into these big things called oil rigs.
00:42Oh, very important job. The only thing is, the oil rigs know it.
00:46Every now and then, they start to think that they're just a little more important than the other boats and ships.
00:51Oh, we had an oil rig named Tex in here for repairs a while ago.
00:54Well, that big fella got into trouble here in the harbor.
00:57And it wasn't that long ago.
01:27I know him well. They all ask for me when they come in here.
01:31George, I want you to move that oil rig closer to the shore, announced the dispatcher.
01:35George looked at Theodore as if to say, I told you so.
01:38And take Theodore along with you, finished the dispatcher.
01:41Right away, Theodore began to worry.
01:44That oil rig looked awfully big.
01:46And George could be touchy about towing George's way.
01:49He was worried he'd make a mistake and then George would lose his temper.
01:54Maybe a bigger tug would be better, he said, trying to use his most helpful voice.
01:59Follow me, Theodore, said George.
02:01I'll show you everything you need to know about oil rigs.
02:03Just don't get in the way.
02:06As they got closer to the giant oil rig, George was chuckling away.
02:09Oh, yes, they always ask for me. That's because I'm so big and strong.
02:14We'll be swapping stories with this big fella in no time, continued George.

02:24The big oil rig only stared a mighty stare down at the two tugs.
02:28Tex, Tex, we're going to move you to a better spot in the harbor, called George.
02:33Now, what do you want, Tex drawled.
02:36He had a deep, slow voice that didn't sound very friendly at all.
02:40It made Theodore even more uncomfortable than before.
02:43Don't need no little tugs to move me, said Tex.
02:47I can do that just fine myself.
02:49Then he started up his engines.
02:51Well, George was silent.
02:53Theodore didn't know what to say either.
02:55I mean, this wasn't what he had expected at all.
02:58Finally, George spoke quietly.
03:01Ah, well, we'll stand by then.
03:03You can go home for all I care, said Tex.
03:06Silly little puppers, you're all in the way anyways.
03:09Theodore wondered what he should do next.
03:11The giant rig was being very rude to George.
03:14Theodore didn't know if George was angry or sad.
03:17Look out of the way, snarled Tex, starting to move.
03:20Theodore couldn't think about George anymore.
03:22He had to move fast before the big oil rig ran right into him.
03:33Now, as soon as George and Theodore were back at their dock,
03:36Fodok was eager to find out what it was like to work with the oil rig.
03:39Did he tell you lots of stories about the ocean? asked Fodok.
03:42Ah, he was pretty tired, said George.
03:45Well, we figured we'd better let him get some rest.
03:47He wanted us to stay, but...
03:48Theodore stared at George.
03:50Why, that wasn't true at all.
03:52I guess George gave you a good lesson about moving oil rigs, eh, Theodore? said Fodok.
03:57Theodore didn't know what to say.
03:59I mean, after all, he never wanted to tell a lie,
04:02but if he told Fodok about how badly the oil rig had treated George,
04:06George was likely to get upset again.
04:08Ah, said Theodore.
04:09Well, I've certainly never met anyone like him before.
04:14That was true enough, thought Theodore sadly.
04:17I've just been told a storm is coming, the dispatcher announced.
04:20George, make sure the Texas anchor cables are firmly in place.
04:30Theodore was calling Bobby Barge to his dock before the storm
04:33when he saw George hiding near the oil rig.
04:35While he watched, George cleared his throat and said,
04:38There's a big storm coming. Do you need any help with your anchors?
04:41Ah, you again, said Tex, cutting off George.
04:44Why don't you just run along now?
04:46I don't need your help.
04:47I've got more important things to do than chatter with every little tub that just floats on by.
04:51Tub, cried George.
04:53I'm the strongest tugboat in the Big Harbor.
04:55When you go for your fill of oil, where do you think it comes from, eh?
04:59It comes from big fellas like me that stay out at sea all alone for months at a time
05:03in all kinds of weather.
05:05So I don't need some little tug and tow truck's help in this little old harbor now.
05:10Well, George felt terrible.
05:16Ships and oil rigs were always happy to have him help them.
05:21Not Tex.
05:23You know something?
05:26For a moment, George wondered if Tex was right.
05:29Maybe he wasn't a useful tugboat after all.
05:32It looks like that oil rig is still being made to George, Bobby, said Theodore.
05:37As usual, Bobby didn't say anything.
05:40Barges are so nice and quiet about Theodore.
05:48We must be sure all the ships in the harbor are being used for oil rigs.

06:02What's wrong with George, whispered Hank to Fodak.
06:05He had noticed that George seemed very sad, floating off by himself.
06:08I don't know, said Fodak, glancing at the gathering clouds.
06:11He just got back from telling that big oil rig about the storm.
06:15That oil rig is only a bundle of rods and rails, said Theodore.
06:18Fodak was surprised with how upset Theodore seemed to be about the oil rig.

06:26Theodore sighed. He hoped the big oil rig would soon go back out to sea again.
06:31It's going to be a big storm, said Emily, shivering.
06:33You can feel it in the wind.

08:24George, you must put a line on the rig, he continued.
08:27Leave immediately.

08:34Hmm, well, on my way, called George, gunning his engines.

09:15Theodore couldn't believe it.
09:17He thought George was angry with him, but now George was asking for his help.
09:20He went as fast as he could.
09:25Off in the distance, Benjamin Bridge loomed over the water.
09:29Quick, yelled Tex.
09:31He was headed right for Benjamin.
09:33Of course, Benjamin couldn't move out of the way.
09:35If Tex wasn't stopped, there would be a terrible crash.
09:40What the hell is going on here?
09:45Tex and George were swirling in the storm, getting closer and closer to Benjamin.
09:50Benjamin was getting scared.
09:52Turn back! Turn back! He yelled.
09:54Theodore quickly saw what he had to do.
09:57Oh no, cried Tex. I'm gonna crash!
10:00Theodore had his lines around the big legs of the rig in a flash.
10:04And then he went right underneath Tex.
10:06While a bigger tugboat couldn't, wouldn't have fit under there.
10:10But Theodore was so small and fast and nimble, he pulled as hard as he had ever pulled before, trying to stop Tex from twerking around.
10:18Theodore could almost feel Benjamin behind him.
10:21Pull, little guy! cried Tex.
10:23Hurry! cried Benjamin.
10:26Theodore was pulling so hard, it was beginning to hurt.
10:34It was working. Tex had stopped moving.
10:38Now George could pull Tex in a straight line, with all his might.
10:43George let out three mighty blasts of his horn.
10:48And three again.
10:51Good tugging, Theodore! he yelled.
10:54Theodore gave three happy toots in return.
10:57Well done, George! he said.
11:03And Benjamin Bridge was pretty happy too.
11:17After they got back to Tex's place in the harbor, the storm was almost over, and both tugs felt great.
11:23Thanks, Theodore! said George, still tired from all his work.
11:26I'd have been really stuck without you.
11:31He took a couple more deep breaths.
11:34You know, Theodore, you look small, but you're really as brave as the biggest of us.
11:40And thanks a bunch from up here, said Tex.
11:44Maybe sometimes I'm a little too big for these here bumpers, continued the big rig.
11:49And now I know I'd have been just a bunch of rods and rails without both of you.
11:54You know, you're both big fellas to me, said Tex.
12:00This all reminds me of a little old story I heard one time down in the Gulf of Mexico.
12:06Tex found out that even big fellas like himself needed a little help from our tugboats from time to time.
12:11We could have told him that.
12:13Well, he had lots of great stories in the tugboats, and he became real good friends.
12:18You know, I thought I heard a little squeak over here in this Dorian gelato.
12:21I'm gonna put a little oil on it.
