The festival ban comes a day after the EU Foreign Policy chief Josep Borrell said no progress had been made during talks in Brussels towards implementing an EU-backed agreement towards normalising ties between Belgrade and Pristina.

00:00Serbian police have banned a festival that promotes cultural exchanges with Kosovo.
00:07Belgrade police cited security concerns for stopping the event, saying they wanted to prevent danger to the security of people and property.
00:16Several dozen right-wing protesters staged a rally outside the Belgrade venue in a bid to prevent the event from going ahead.
00:24Kosovo is a former Serbian province and declared independence in 2008, a move Belgrade doesn't recognize.
