00:00Get ready with me while I tell you how and why I moved to Japan.
00:08So to give you a little bit of a backstory about my life, I actually grew up quite poor
00:12which people don't realise because I think I look really rich but my parents are both
00:16immigrants from Kurdistan in Iraq.
00:18I feel like people think that in order to move to Japan or whatever you have to have
00:22like a really privileged background and I just don't and I want other people who also
00:25don't have a privileged background to be like oh like maybe I can do the things that
00:29I want to do, against all odds.
00:31After a long custody battle we were able to move to the UK with my mum and English was
00:34actually my third language, I couldn't speak any of it until I moved to the UK.
00:37I actually didn't like living in the UK at all, also at this time I was really going
00:40through like a lot, like I was mentally unwell, I had undiagnosed ADHD and bipolar disorder
00:45and especially the ADHD is like really like I can't believe I was undiagnosed because
00:48I have pretty bad ADHD.
00:50And I didn't know what it was but I just knew that I wasn't happy with my life and I wasn't
00:53happy with the way my life was going.
00:55So when I was 15 I decided like okay I really want to go to Japan, I want to see what it's
00:58like, I'll just study there for a bit and then take it from there.
01:01Keep in mind though that I can't just like ask my mum for money, she was like a single
01:04mum raising two kids.
01:05So when I was 16 I started going to sixth form college and I started working at McDonald's,
01:08so I worked at McDonald's for a year and then I worked at Sainsbury's, a supermarket chain
01:11for a year and the point is I was working a lot and I hated it, I hated this part of
01:15my life so much because I had to study so much, I had to work so much and I was so depressed.
01:19Like I would do school from morning until 5 and then 5 until 10pm I would do McDonald's
01:24and then I would go home and I would like do a bunch of homework and then when I'm falling
01:27asleep I would like hear the fry machine from McDonald's because I just like couldn't
01:30relax.
01:31But I saved like crazy for 3 years and then I ended up moving to Japan.
01:35So for base makeup I'm kind of lazy, I just apply some concealer and some powder and I
01:42kind of call it a day even when my skin isn't that great.
01:45Since I was planning on using such a bright pink blush and also such a bright pink lipstick
01:49I decided to keep my eye makeup kind of neutral, just with a little bit of glitter.
01:52I apply kind of an orangey eyebrow colour, I like quite light eyebrows, I actually bleached
01:57them maybe like once every 2 weeks or something like that.
02:00I think it softens your features.
02:01When I contour my nose I always really focus on making the tip look rounder just because
02:05I think it makes it look really cute.
02:06I like to centre my blush in like certain areas instead of like all over my whole face.
02:10I was really happy with the pigmentation of this blush and I thought it was the perfect
02:14pink.
02:15Then I made my lips super pink, I ended up liking this colour as well, added a little
02:18bit of highlighter, did my mascara, I always clump up my mascara like this, I just really
02:23like the pointy look.
02:24When my makeup was done so I decided to put together a little outfit.
02:27I felt like I wanted to wear something preppy today, I actually ended up putting on tights
02:31after this because I thought it was going to be cold but then it was too hot and I regretted
02:34it.
02:35So finish off the rest of my look and then that's pretty much it!
02:54Bye!
