00:00On this day in space.
00:04In 2002, the space shuttle Endeavour launched on the STS-111 mission
00:08from NASA's Kennedy Space Center in Florida to the International Space Station, or ISS.
00:12The launch was originally scheduled for May 30th, but was delayed
00:16first by bad weather, and then by technical issues on Endeavour.
00:20After a suspect part was replaced, the shuttle was ready for launch on June 5th.
00:24Endeavour's 14-day STS-111 mission delivered supplies to the ISS,
00:28as well as rotating the astronaut crew aboard the space station, exchanging
00:32three Expedition 4 members for three Expedition 5 members.
00:36And that's what happened on this day in space.
