Jason Kidd wants the Dallas Mavericks to look at the likes of LeBron James and Michael Jordan as inspiration.

00:00Yeah, I think, you know, the history is there for us to learn from, you know, when you look

00:05at great players and the struggles, you look at MJ and the struggles that he had against

00:12Detroit, you look at, you know, some Magic Johnson struggles, you look at LeBron's first

00:21time around, and so it's there to learn from, but, you know, as the great ones, they use

00:29that going into the next season or the next couple of seasons to try to get back there

00:35because now they understand.

00:37Experience is a big thing.

00:38When you look at the Celtics, you know, they lose to the Warriors two years ago, they lose

00:45to Miami in Game 7, and so just experience of understanding that you're not, you know,

00:52promised to get back, that you've got to work, and you see the group that is out there today,

00:58you know, they know how to play, they're a really good team, and they put a lot of

01:02pressure on your defense, you know, transition, rotations, and so for great players, you have

01:11to fail to understand, you know, how to be successful at the highest stage, and this

01:18is the highest level, is being in the finals.
