The Mount Golf Club hosted a charity golf event.

The J W Hunt Cup had its first charity golf day, raising money for the Beacon Centre for the Blind. It was held at the Mount Golf and Country Club in Perton.

00:13 for the JW Hunt Cup which is a great charity now in Wolverhampton. Great

00:18 turnout from the lads today we've got 36 golfers playing, some great prizes

00:24 donated from Meymore Golf and the impairment really appreciate that. Luke Manwaring

00:30 who's offered an hours lesson he's like a pro golf coach so it's great we're

00:34 hoping for a good day hope that the weather holds out for us and then

00:38 everybody enjoys it. So the Hunt Cup that's it's a football tournament is

00:42 that right? It is correct yeah. 98 years strong I believe. Yeah. And your dad and you

00:48 you organise this event and you raise money for good causes yeah? We do indeed

00:52 yes. Who are we raising money for today? It's for the Beacon Centre for the Blind.

00:59 golf? I do try and play three four times a week but you know who knows we'll

01:24 secretary of the Hunt Cup now. I've been for 30 years yeah and it's our

01:29 centenary in two years time. Fantastic and is this an annual event then?

01:33 Well it's the first one. It's the first one to raise money for the Beacon Centre for the Blind.
