Mother of man who died after being attacked at Parklife appeals for information 10 years on

The mum of a man who died after being punched by an unknown male assailant at Parklife has made an emotional appeal 10 years on from his death.   Robert Hart, was just 26, when he died from his injuries days the incident at Heaton Park on Saturday, June 7, 2014.

00:00He was kind. He was helpful. He thought about other people. Nothing was ever too much trouble.

00:12He wasn't aggressive. He didn't like fighting. He enjoyed life. He enjoyed travelling. He

00:22enjoyed meeting people. Nothing was too much trouble. If there was any need for help, Robert

00:30would be the first one. I remember going to see him at Liverpool one day, just coming

00:36out of Lime Street station, and an elderly lady fell, unexpected, and her bag went everywhere,

00:45and Robert was the first there. That was what Robert, so helpful.

00:51I look at Robert's photograph every morning, and I kiss him good morning, and I look at

00:56Robert's photograph every night, and I just exist. I have my three children and my grandchildren

01:07which help me enormously. But the loss of Robert, and the unnecessary killing of Robert,

01:17that will stay with me, and I will never, ever be able to understand or come to terms

01:24with it. Well, I've asked over the years, why? Why did you not just, when you hit the

01:32blow-up door, why did you not just apologise? Why was you so aggressive? And you punched

01:39Robert so hard that you knocked him unconscious, which caused a bleed on his brain. So completely

01:47unnecessary. You're now living your life, ten years you've moved on. Robert should

01:55be living his life. He should be enjoying life, having children, bringing children up,

02:03doing the things that you're probably doing, and he can't. Ten years on, people's loyalties,

02:14relationships changes. And for justice, and if you know of this attacker, if you know

02:25of him, if you know his name, get in touch with Greater Manchester Police, or Help Bobby,

02:35and hopefully there will be a closure. Robert went to part life to enjoy himself. He had

02:46a love of music, he had a guitar, well he had three guitars. He enjoyed going to festivals.

02:55When you couldn't afford them at uni, you would go and work on the gates as a steward.

03:02Robert went to part life to enjoy himself. He never returned, and he now lies in Nettlesfield

03:09Cemetery. Robert was a devoted and adored son, brother and uncle, and he was a true

03:20gentleman and friend.
