00:00 A driver of a ride-hailing app was arrested for the incident of a hold-up.

00:04 The victim is a foreigner. Here is my exclusive report.

00:08 In the area of Barangay Salapan in San Juan,

00:15 the police arrested the driver of a ride-hailing app

00:18 that was held up by a foreigner in the city.

00:20 According to the San Juan Police,

00:22 the tourist of the Dominican Republic National Booked a ride from Quezon City to Makati.

00:27 But when it came to the San Juan area, the driver went astray.

00:32 Along the way, the victim was wondering why they went through a different route.

00:37 When they reached Barangay Maytunas in Barcelona Street,

00:43 that's when the suspect declared a hold-up.

00:47 The suspect's hold-up was not enough to make the victim fall.

00:51 The suspect took the victim's jacket, his bag, and his cell phone.

00:57 The victim was left behind and the suspect ran away.

01:03 But he immediately reported to the authorities.

01:06 And because the tourist's driver's appearance and other personal details were screened,

01:11 the police immediately searched the suspect's house.

01:14 They didn't think that they could locate him right away.

01:19 All the stolen items were recovered.

01:21 The suspect's cell phone was also covered, hiding evidence.

01:25 The car used by the suspect in the crime was confiscated by his owner,

01:29 who is a standing operator.

01:31 They don't want to comment when I talk to them.

01:34 They are also trying to get hold of the ride-hailing app.

01:37 The police are reminding the public, especially those who are interested in the ride-hailing app.
