00:00What if Africa were the next Silicon Valley?
00:02Civil war, coup d'état, terrorism, economic, climatic or humanitarian crisis
00:07here is the picture that London often draws of Africa.
00:09However, in parallel to this dramatic reality,
00:12the continent is the stage of a race for new technologies.
00:15In 2023, the International Financial Society,
00:18a member of the Group of the World Bank,

00:23with one of the fastest growth in the world.
00:26Of the 1.2 billion people who populate the continent,
00:2960% are under 25 years old.

00:33Everywhere on the continent, innovative projects emerge.
00:36CME City in Benin, Silicon Savannah in Kenya or even Konza City,
00:41cities designed for the economic and social development of countries.

00:50and is also focused on educating people on new technologies.
00:54Since 2011, the Orange Digital Center has been training more than 1 million Africans for free in coding.

01:15According to Lionel Zinsou, former Prime Minister of Benin,
01:18it is out of ignorance.
