00:00The night started early because we've been waiting for this moment for two or three days.

00:11Two or three days of greetings, hugs, thanks, recognition and gratitude towards the club,

00:23towards the owners, towards everyone who has worked with us and above all towards the players,

00:32who have been fantastic, because above all in difficult moments they have shown a compassion,

00:40a cohesion, a trust in the work, not so easy to find.

00:47What I have experienced here in Milan with the fans remains in my heart something really special and particular.

00:59These were special days and today it was a bit strange to live the game.

01:07Now I'm a bit empty but I think it's fair.

01:15I've said it many times, I left San Siro with a heart full of joy, gratification, enthusiasm and energy for what the fans have passed on to me.

01:27I think I started training 25 years ago and of course we dream of something exceptional

01:35but not to live the feelings as strongly and intensely as I have lived here.

01:40So I can only be happy and thank everyone because we have made a really good path and then we go on.

01:50Pride goes beyond the results. Pride for what I have experienced here in Milan,

01:57for what we have experienced together with the players, for what I have shared with the club,

02:01with all the managers I have had, for those who brought me here to Milan and those who helped me later.

02:11I hope to be able to relive these feelings here in the future but I don't think it will be easy.

02:22It takes a man who has a lot of experience to train in such a glorious club as Milan.

02:30It means to have a high level of professionalism, both as a manager and as a coach, with the players.

02:39It's a high level of expectations so it's even better if it's possible.

02:48I think it's the best moment of my career for all the experiences I have had together.

02:54So I can only say thank you to Milan. I am proud of what we have done together and I am happy.

03:06Isma is a very sensitive boy. He started crying two days ago.

03:12These were two difficult days but for all the lads these are the events I have had but I had no doubt about it.

03:21On a personal level I am proud of the relationship we have built.

03:33There have been difficult moments, there have been discussions, there have been fierce confrontations

03:39but we have always had great respect for each other and we have always had one goal in mind and that is Milan.

03:43This is a very beautiful thing.

03:52I think it's also very relevant to the way we play on the pitch.

04:01I started 21 years ago in Salerno and on the last day the fans in Sardinia told me that I had trained with honour and that I was a gentleman.
