Members of the Quezon City Police District together with Quezon City Mayor Joy Belmonte, lead the wreath-laying ceremony to mark the 40th death anniversary of PMGen. Tomas B. Karingal at Camp Karingal in Quezon City on Friday, May 24.
Karingal became the QCPD chief from July 5, 1967, to December 19, 1975, by virtue of presidential appointment under the late former President Ferdinand Marcos. He was assassinated on May 24, 1984, on Scout Borromeo Street in Quezon City.
