00:00 Hello there. It's certainly been very wet across the UK, with more than two times May's
00:11 rainfall falling in just 24 hours across Cumbria on Wednesday. This rain will continue across
00:17 northern England, Scotland and Northern Ireland on Thursday. Heavy at times for southern and
00:21 central Scotland, but for most it should turn increasingly light and patchy. Very windy
00:27 as well across the north-west, and this wind will wrap around western Scotland and down
00:30 into the Irish Sea, so it will bring a fairly blustery and breezy day for western Scotland,
00:36 northern Ireland, north-west England and north Wales. Drier and brighter though for many
00:41 of us on Friday, with the best of the sunshine for south-east England. Fairly cloudy though
00:46 elsewhere, with a few showers, mostly for Scotland and northern Ireland, but some sunny
00:50 spells should break through later in the day for many of us. Bright on Saturday morning
00:55 with some sunny spells, a few showers here and there, mostly in the north and east, and
01:00 cloud cover will begin to thicken from the west during the afternoon, bringing some rain
01:04 to south-west England during the evening. On Sunday it will be a fairly unsettled day,
01:09 with a widespread threat of showers. Some of these heavy too, bringing rumbles of thunder,
01:14 but there will also be some sunny intervals between these showers. And as we look ahead
01:18 into bank holiday Monday, we'll see another day of sunny spells and scattered showers.
