El activista y reportero independiente Carlos Milanés, realizó un acto espontáneo de protesta en La Habana en contra de la dictadura castrocomunista. El hecho ocurrió el domingo 12 de mayo después de haber realizado un reportaje sobre el estado en el que se encontraban las instalaciones del hotel Neptuno-Tritón.
