পেপে ভরতা (pepe bharta recipe in Bengali)

{Green papaya has lots of health benefits. It is rich in vitamin C and benefits unhealthy liver and skin. It is easily available during summer, therefore can be added in lunch menu.}


1.Clean the papaya thoroughly with water. Remove the skin and seeds. Boil in a pressure cooker till whistle blows once with salt and Turmeric powder.

2.Discard the water. Allow the boiled papaya to cool down. Mash the boiled papaya. Add little salt, chili powder (optional) and lemon juice as per taste

3.To prepare a complete meal, one can add beaten curd after tempering with mustard seed, cumin seed, asafoetida powder and salt,turmeric powder and chili powder.

4.A complete summer meal is ready for eating.
