00:00 For a week, yellow and smelly water was being permitted to the customers of Manila Water in Angono, Binangonan and Cardona in Rizal.

00:08 The residents said that they were fed up and they had to pay for the water they were supposed to bathe in.

00:13 They also had to pay more because they were buying purified water for drinking, washing and cooking.

00:18 Because of that problem, they are asking for a refund.

00:22 According to the Metropolitan Waterworks and Sewerage System or MWSS, that depends on the results of their investigation.

00:29 Manila Water explained that there are more algae or moss in Laguna Lake

00:34 that they are collecting from the water supply because of the sudden rain after the hot weather.

00:40 They will add more algae to their treatment process to improve the quality of the water.

00:46 They expect that the water quality will gradually return to normal today.
