00:00 The Department of Health has reported a 3% decrease in dengue cases
00:05 because isolated thunderstorms and rain showers are becoming more frequent.
00:10 Before the official start of the rainy season,
00:13 according to the DOH, the number of dengue cases in the country has decreased by 30%
00:19 from 3,634 cases between April 21 to May 4, from 5,380 cases from March 24 to April 6.
00:30 Since January, more than 57,000 cases of dengue have been reported by the DOH in the country,
00:37 of which 164 are dying.
00:41 Some of the symptoms of dengue are high fever and can reach up to 40 degrees Celsius.
