00:00 We are almost on the finish line and if it is that I have to make a score I think we are doing well.
00:08 Come next year, we don't expect to have any harsh measures.
00:18 Meantime, Head of WASA Operations Brian Williams said all Tobago's reservoirs are challenged,
00:25 inclusive of Hillsborough, Richmond and the Kings Bay.
00:29 To bring it more into context, the Water Resources Agency has said that the flow measurements
00:35 that have been taken at the Kolan Water Treatment Plant in this moment
00:39 are the lowest that they have been in the last 10 years.
00:44 Up to this moment, the net production deficit is 3.7 imperial million gallons.
00:54 In Tobago, we produce on average 12 million gallons of water that is distributed
01:00 across all communities on a daily basis.
01:04 A deficit of 3.7 imperial gallons is massive.
01:08 Despite the challenges, Mr. Williams said all is not lost as measures have been put in place
01:14 to treat with the present situation in addition to a water trucking shift system.
01:20 Of our 12 million gallons that we normally produce, this is where we are.
01:24 As of January morning, because this is where we started, we were actually producing more
01:29 than the set of 12 million gallons we had supplied.
01:32 The river flows up.
01:33 At present, and based on the outlook that MED just provided, we have some challenges ahead.
01:42 We have a number of different projects, the community water programs.
01:46 The community water improvement program is one where we would have improved the level of service
01:54 to a number of people in different areas in a sustainable way to ensure that we improve the quality of the service.
02:03 This program is ongoing, and it's again under the auspices of the Minister and the Ministry of Public Utilities,
02:11 aimed at bringing relief, low-hanging fruit, bringing relief to areas where the supplies,
02:18 a small effort will make a difference to people who would have had an irregular water supply.
